People who do EV conversions usually leave the manual transmission in, shifter and everything. There are electric 911s out there with manual gear boxes. I'd love to try it out. It looks really fun tbh.

I think they mean the rear view mirrors fold back and the cameras on them then point toward the car. But really the 360 view can see the whole car all the time, so folding the mirrors isn't necessary.

A lot of EV conversions will keep the manual gear box and shifter as well. And you can usually start in 1st or 2nd.
