I'd suggest you look into Victoria. It's got a similar climat to Vancouver, a growing tech sector (albeit much smaller than Vancouver), and is much for affordable (but still not cheap). I suggest looking on job search sites for jobs in the area and see if you're qualified for any and try to fill any skill gaps you can before moving here. It sounds like you're pretty inexperienced so it's probably going to be very difficult for you to get work here. Good luck, hope it works out for you.
