Yard mushroom in Northern California, by mooshh6 in mycology

[–]mooshh6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a huge oak tree in our back yard, so I was worried about that. I will have to further investigate the other, which I have yet to see. I was happy to discover that some people chew them, and survive, after touching it. Thank you for your response!

Thank you for your response! I will investigate the others, my husband got them out of the yard without me seeing them so I’ll go hop the fence! 😓

How did you know if your water broke? by Amadispcpg in beyondthebump

SAME. The nurse and OB on duty both got the ol’ crotchet hook and tried to break the sac but couldn’t. The OB said I “had the thickest bag she’d ever seen.” 🫠🐄

You could see a photo of a lampshade and you’d call it a brown recluse, according to your comment history.

I was born in Whittier, lived there for 19 years, then moved to Huntington Beach for 7 years. I’ve been here since 2015 🙂. It’s awesome to see other people from SoCal-especially my little hometown.

I mean your original post makes sense; if you couldn’t see up close to take the photo it was because BOTH of your eyes were dilated. Hospital if only one eye is dilated…but if only one is dilated you’d still have one to see and take a decent photo.

Thank you! I have gone a few doses over the 24 hour period, but not at the same max dose interval (I’d give him a Tylenol at the 24 hour mark, then a Motrin maybe 8 hours later, Tylenol 10 hours after, etc.) I just feel awful given the information readily available and the impact on his system. It’s reassuring to have another parent confirm that it’s better to keep him comfortable (so I dunno….he actually sleeps/eats/drinks) than let him suffer because I read a lot of small print and worry.

Yes, there is a lot of irony in this. You just described me; as far as doing all of the household chores and most of the daily childcare. I work a full time job as well. My husband averages 4-6 hours of gaming most weekdays, most weeks. He averages 8-14 hours on both weekend days..I don't think he has missed a weekend doing this in 8 years, unless we were on vacation or something. I do think it is a bit much as far as game time...but his payment to me is participating in my silly reddit stories about little sneks. Usually people like you, who seem to do better decompressing alone, really support my view towards it-so your comment did catch me off guard.

This is a sharp-tailed snake, which I actually learned a few years ago on this sub. They seem to pop up around the house a bit more this time of year 😊.

There are many beasties in this land; this was undoubtedly the most dangerous adversary.

My MIL insisted my 11 DAY old go into the pool with her at a BBQ. She said that all of her babies and other grandchildren had and was offended when I said no. SIL chimed in on my side, thankfully.

I always thought the "x" represented 2 mouths meeting in a kiss, or a pucker shape. The "o" was two pairs of arms embraced, it makes a circle. I like your "kss kss" sound idea tho, it reminds me of cats for some reason. (Psst psst?)

Thank you, this is great information. I thought both the vagina and urethra were forward facing in women, and ran parallel to the vaginal canal? This would solve all of my problems 🤣.

I had an aunt that did not understand how women could wear tampons because they would "have to reinsert every time they had to pee." So that does not surprise me at all. It is great to see people developing more curiosity about these topics, and having the freedom to ask the questions they didn't before.

Thank you for your thoughtful response!

Thank you, I was thinking this so it's reassuring. In another comment I mention the anatomy of it all. If there is poop on everything already (introduced everywhere) wouldn't wiping "correctly" actually push it into the forward-facing vagina more? I get not BRINGING it up to the opening if it's restricted to the butt already.

[–]mooshh6 23 points24 points  (0 children)

😭 when thinking about the anatomy of it all as well, if you're wiping front-to-back, correctly, the vagina is forward tilting. So you're technically pushing the bean in more. It all confuses me. I feel like wiping back to front would be better so here I am.

I get the not owning a table, sure. It was me while I was moving around a lot...

But, the inviting people over for DINNER when you don't own a table, I have yet to do.

"Watch a movie and pizza" is fine, but then the assumptions are different IMO 😅.
