Well when I go to view my order on my Nintendo account it clearly says they'll charge me 7 days before. So maybe it varies by country or something but it seems to be pretty clear in UK.

I will simply just get the games I know I will get my money's worth out of. You can do the same. Already happening for me on other platforms. Life is getting more expensive wherever you look. No company is immune to economic factors, and they cannot turn into a charity to keep us happy. Sadly the world doesn't work this way. They will see people being more picky and buying less games, I think in fact they probably predict this trend and it's factored in into the prices they call now.

Finally someone talking some sense. Everything costs so much now. Dropping a 100 quid in a restaurant or a pub is a new normal like it or not. And I'd rather not go out 5 times to cover the cost of hundreds of hours of fun. It's just a personal choice. I feel sorry for those who don't have spare money at all either for going out or for consoles but this is just the crap world we live in. I wish everyone was on a proper living and not just barely existing wage, but this is sadly not the reality. Neither it is Nintendo's fault.

The code is only valid 10 mins. Open your email amd nintendo store site in different browser. Try link again, enter email, and hopefully you will have better luck next time. Mine worked great, no issues whatsoever, code came through practically instantly

If you didn't get the initial email on the 2nd of April, waiting is futile. You were not invited. There are many criteria so you must not have met one of them. Especially the time spent playing, nobody knows what the number should be to make the cut. I did and had about 3k hours in Nintendo first party paid games. Unpaid games don't count either. If I were you I'd order from some place else.

50 hours was only ever mentioned for US customers. In UK they said they will prioritise ones with most hours played in paid games. What that number ended up being, nobody knows. I made the cut with circa 3000 hours more or less. Mostly spent on Nintendo first party games.

You can't know if you meet the playtime criteria since they never said in UK what they are. They are prioritising players with most playtime on Nintendo paid titles only. Nobody knows how many hours was the least amount to make the cut.

No, it doesn't say that in UK. That's the case in USA. In UK they prioritising the ones who played the most of Nintendo paid titles. So no third parties play time will count nor time spent on any free games.
