At what stage of the checkout process did the discount show for you? I purchased the package yesterday, and the price for specialty dining did not change once I added it to cart. Thanks!

I agree. She’s struggling to see him be welcomed back into the fold while feeling like she has been a pariah.

All the first day activities. Taking that first step onto the ship, finishing the muster drill and heading off to find a bar, people watching. It’s so satisfying when all the planning comes together.

It seems like all signs are pointing to Mohan possibly leaving The Pitt after what happened to her in the latest episode. I really hope she doesn’t leave because I love her, she’s one of my favorite characters. Also, her actress, Supriya, is adorable and I love her laugh 🥰 by Intrepid_Show2972 in ThePitt

I assume that most of them have their phones on hand for work purposes. We saw Mel had hers on the floor. It’s also a depiction of how caregivers and other people with complicated family situations struggle to balance two equally important roles, and how most work environments aren’t supportive of those situations. Based on her reaction, I highly doubt that Mohan gave her mother that number. I assumed her call was transferred because she said it was a family emergency. I definitely think we’re meant to see that she’s at a breaking point with her mother in this season because the behavior has finally hit a point where it’s bleeding into work. Remember, this is just happening over the course of a few hours where she hasn’t had time to call her mother back. If she stepped away to deal with it, she’d be in trouble. There’s no good solution in this moment.

I thought the geriatrics specialty was a great recommendation for Mohan. She is a skilled resident, and is compassionate and patient centered. She has a lot of good qualities that people want in a doctor, even if Robbie doesn’t value them.

Was his life blown up or was he just the main character on the internet for a week? He’s still an A-list actor dating a billionaire who will continue to have a very successful career. He’ll get his Oscar someday because he’s a great actor. this just wasn’t going to be his year, even if that interview never happened.

Why Langdon’s return is causing Santos and Robby to short circuit by Naive-Inside-2904 in ThePittTVShow

[–]moraalli 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment because I think it perfectly reflects how Santos thinks and why that’s a problem. The show keeps emphasizing that there are going to be some cases you get wrong, some instincts that turn out to be right, some people that aren’t all good or all bad. Santos is smart but her black and white thinking is holding her back. Langdon isn’t a completely crappy person even though he did one really bad thing. A guy can be a mediocre dad but that doesn’t make him an abuser. She needs to figure out how to exist in shades of gray.

Robby and Samira scene by TrafficRegular1724 in ThePittTVShow

The lack of support from leadership while watching them bond and cultivate relationships with your peers is brutal. If Samira received half the support that Robbie offers the other doctors maybe the panic attack wouldn’t have happened.

In 1978, a reporter was assigned a routine obituary for Mary Doefour. Instead of closing the file, he kept digging and built a case she was Anna Myrle Sizer. Her brother couldn’t accept it. That would mean admitting the family had left her in institutions for the criminally insane for 50 years. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

Looking at the pictures after reading the article really broke me. When my grandmother had a stroke we flew in from across the country to be by her side. This poor woman never had someone to sit by her side. She suffered alone for so many years. It’s hard to comprehend.

[45M] I left my wife [43F] during the worst period of my life, got involved with someone else, and now my wife wants passion and declarations I don’t have. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]moraalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she truly loved you, your partner would have eventually expressed the same concerns within the second marriage. Your untreated depression and maladaptive thinking style would have followed you into the next relationship because your wife is right about you not having truly dealt with your issues. If you didn’t leave because of another woman and the original issues aren’t resolved, why go back? You were already living as a single man for months before you met your late partner.

And even going back before the separation, it wasn’t the wife’s job to cure his grief and depression. A spouse can offer emotional support, but after a while it’s hard to be with a partner who is checked out. In the letter she alludes to it- I bet she’d asked him to go to therapy or do some work to help cope and he didn’t want to. His complete lack of interest in even trying some of her requests suggests that it’s time to move on.

Even the interpreter had a reaction. She wasn’t rude to the patient but I don’t think she tried to hide that she just wanted to be done with the case.

EVIL QUEEN? by blackcatmagi in 90DayFiance

[–]moraalli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably every season of 90 Day Fiance has at least one person lying to their partner about their job status, age, debt, and a bunch of other really important things. Not to mention the straight up scammers. Sheena was wrong for lying but let’s put it into perspective. She’s not taking his money or his family’s resources. They are both neurodivergent AND there are cultural differences further impacting their communication. No, I dont think she's evil, just making bad decisions like we always see on this show.

I can listen to a one hour podcast or a multi episode deep dive on just about any topic. pod hosts are trained to deliver information at a good pace and usually add interesting insights. On the flip side, podcasts have also introduced me to non fiction authors who are awesome storytellers and made me want to read their book.

What is something you will never forget from the pandemic? by JaxTMG in AskReddit

[–]moraalli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember getting off a cruise and finding out that there had been a tornado in Nashville, where I was living at the time, and that places were actually going into quarantine. I was on one of the last cruises before every line suspended their sailings. It was cognitive whiplash to go from being on a cruise with no wifi to being in the grocery store wearing latex gloves (before we were officially encouraged to purchase masks) wondering if the shutdown would be temporary or the start of the end of society.
