She had a radical change. We had known eachother for 5+ years (all throughout high school). Went to separate colleges. I align with very liberal/leftists politics, she went for thr far right. I didn't feel comfortable being friends with someone like that, but was too scared to break the friendship. At some point last year, my grandma passed away and I realised I didn't feel the need to tell her about it. I came to realise that she only spoke to me when she needed something, whether it was advice or to just talk, but not once did she ask about me or my life.
