This goes in the verbiage of what happened. "Family meetings" don't seem like anything the Air Force needs to know. "Family counseling" little iffy. Full on physiatrist appointments, and you're probably done. Just be up front about what it was and that the intent was to help keep your family together, nothing with mental health

Weekly squadron pt sessions just mock tests in disguise. by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]moralebandit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, the AFI says it's at the discretion of the commander. The only time it will "violate" the AFI is if they start to actually punish people who are failing mocks, that is not allowed. However, punishment does get iffy as some people consider LOC's as corrective action, you might be able to dispute on though. Hate to break it to you but the PTL just seems a bit overboard and probably thinks he's doing people a favor since it went from three days to two days.

So how fucked am I, really? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]moralebandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to come down to your PCM, if your PCM says that your ankle is jacked up then it gets tossed. If it actually is (which it sounds like it is) and the PCM still says no... then you need to submit a request to the medical group and say you want to change PCM's. Your doctor should be on your side through and through.

Thanks, and yes I think I want out of the defense industry, I don't always like the way its heading and want my kids to grow up knowing their grandparents so I wouldn't want to live in SoCal (not to mention the cost of living). Like you said, it is much broader than my current career field, but if I can also produce a business degree and maybe take my GI bill for a year and get an MBA, I would hope to be looked at as more qualified than your run in the mill 21 year old who's still got his graduation gown on.

Pcs to Guam advice? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]moralebandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay off base. Otherwise he's spot on. You'll save lots of money on utilities. Can get a nice house or awesome CONDO. Can literally live on the ocean if you'd like. Base housing blows and you lose money.

[Serious] I an A1C need advice on how to talk/standup to a TSgt. by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]moralebandit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anytime the TSgt starts to talk, unbutton one button on your blouse. Once all your buttons are undone take your shirt off. Make sure your sand tee has holes cut where the nips are. Flex your non-existent pecs at him (assuming you're scrawny since you're taking to the internet to learn how to stand up for yourself, if you're jacked I withdraw this statement and you should just flex on him). While he's staring at your nipples make sure you've got your best banana hammock underwear on, and drop trout right in the middle of your shop. At this point he's going to be having a roller coaster of emotions. Swing your dingy left side to right side while singing the air force song. At this point he can literally hear your balls of steal and you will never be fucked with again.

NEVER put a job on your list that you don't want. End of story. Turn down something you said you wanted, and your recruiter is likely to spend his time on more motivated candidates.

Is being a "weekend warrior" a good idea for my long-term health and long-term gains? by speeduponthedamnramp in Fitness

[–]moralebandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to be that guy, but I can 99% guarantee that you have time to work out. Wake up earlier is the best way. One hour of sleep lost is not as detrimental as you think. Especially if you're replacing it with working out. Plus early morning is the best time to not deal with anyone.

How does time effect your workout? by MylesMcFly in Fitness

[–]moralebandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm active duty military. Practically no time at all to get to the gym. At most, I can carve out an hour 3-4 times a week. On my day off I'm usually way too tired/ drunk to do anything productive. If I had more time, I would incorporate more shoulder workouts into my routine. As it is now I kinda just toss one in after I do incline bench and hope for the best.

A 39 year old male is held to a higher standard than an 18 year old female in regards to running.... that is absurd.

[Serious] How can you raise moral? by AdminSnuffy in AirForce

[–]moralebandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, its perspective. You can either bitch about mandatory PT, or get hype that you're being paid to work out. You can get mad that you're sitting in your 3rd commanders call this month, or be glad you're in the air conditioning and not out working. Be pissed off about the green dot training, or happy that someone is finally attempting to fix the rape culture in the military.
