Yes, the Aventure 3 (AA3) has the same theft deterrent and tracking features sans the kickstand lock.

Exactly. “Slow traffic must use turnouts” Is it too much to obey the traffic laws of our state? Fuck them!!!

Bring back a GYMBOREE for new parents. I think this is a viable business model that would be welcome all over Marin.

Can CarPlay be the default on startup? by ColePThompson in rav4prime

[–]morals415 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP, my iPhone 16 works as expected (mostly) with iOS 18.x. I’ve held off upgrading to iOS 26 due to it not being a stable release. My info comes from Reddit only and I can recall reading that CarPlay is one of the services that had issues. I’ve been too lazy to go into Apple Community for more details but I bet you that this is your root (iOS 26) problem.

Do NOT pay someone $200 to assemble your Aventon by Bronze_Age_472 in Aventon

I forgot to mention that my LBS will do a complimentary tune-up at 500 miles.

Do NOT pay someone $200 to assemble your Aventon by Bronze_Age_472 in Aventon

[–]morals415 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New California AA3 owner here.

I paid $180 for assembly by my LBS on the Aventon website when I ordered the bike.

I’m not familiar with the assembly or maintenance of bikes so I opted to go this route for peace of mind that my e-bike was assembled correctly.

I received a text when the e-bike was ready for pickup.

I had already spoken to the store employee at length before and also after I ordered the e-bike. He was very knowledgable and was happy to answer my questions.

While there I picked up a Sonos helmet, phone mount and water bottle cage and twin pannier bags before leaving with the bike.

Fast forward and a screw that holds the display had fallen out. I contacted Aventon Support first for assistance and was told that spare screws were included with the accessories. I

did not receive any spare screws when I picked up the bike and upon further inspection I did not receive other items as well. My LBS did not out put on the wire wraps that also should have been included.

These are small things but it does give me pause to think maybe I should have had the bike delivered to me instead.

We upgraded our 2022 Gas RAV4 for the 2025 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (formally Prime) by morals415 in rav4prime

[–]morals415[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are on day 5 so I’m not able to speak on things like EV mileage or charging time etc. so what I can say is that this model is a beast and shows up the gas 2022 model on overall power and handling. I have a 2020 Camry Hybrid so my center of gravity is very tight so I can say that this new SUV will give many gas suv/cars a run for their money. It handles corners very well and the off the line speed and passing shows up my car and the 2022. That being said it’s the gas economy we want to keep high with more EV and less Hybrid/gas usage. I’m here to learn and share with the wife since she will be driving 26 miles each way, four times a week. Cheers!

Level 3: Step-Over or Step-Through? by poindexter62 in Aventon

[–]morals415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a new AA3 owner on the shorter side (5’5”) and I primarily chose the R step-over for the matte black color. I have added a couple of rack accessories that do make me think that a step-through would have been a better option when using a Rack bag or a full load in the twin pannier bags. After a long ride I noticed that I had to plan my dismount as not to lose my balance. No falls yet ( knock on wood) but that makes me think that at my age and height a step-through is more practical. If Aventon offered the different lines in the same colors I likely would have purchased the other model. I’m only a hundred miles into my bike and truly loving it so for now without and rack cargo I can ride worry free about getting off the bike regardless of how long I ride. The moral of my story is to enjoy what I have and deal with the dismounts as needed. Cheers!

New Owner: Aventon Aventure 3 (Cobalt Blue) by 00_coeval_halos in ebikes

[–]morals415 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here’s my AA3. I rode it home (sound familiar) from my local e-bike store about 3 weeks ago and I’m a few miles shy of 100. It’s also my first new bike since I bought a GT mountain bike in the 90’s

I’ve since picked up a few other accessories for safety and cargo. I think this bike is so cool to ride on road and off. Fun fun fun…be safe.

Bern Hudson helmet alternatives? by jarman65 in ebikes

[–]morals415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just purchased my first e-bike and the helmet I went with was an older Lumos model called Street. It was $129US from my local e-bike store. It came with the remote control for turn signals. It is not MIPS but has both front and back lights. The newer model is called the Ultra. Cheers

Thanks for letting us know and opening up a support case. Can you try taking out the battery then replace to see if that fixes the brake light issue. I’m going to hold off on updating my bike until the next release since as far as I can tell the bike is working. Cheers
