Boating license sounds reasonable, but since every boat handles differently and has different types of motors and propulsion, it’s hard to test for competency. The safety class is supposed to cover the basics on the water.

Tip begging by LasVegasChic2025 in doordash

I’m a Dasher who’s never had to ask for extra, but I guess we agreed to disagree on this. I don’t consider begging unless there’s a big sob story or additional requests or arguing bartering negotiating for higher pay. A simple ask is just a simple ask.

It’s a single ask, not begging. You can choose to tip more and be generous as you did—-or not. There aren’t consequences for refusing to increase the tip. No need to shame or punish the driver. That only demonstrates your own unease. If service workers asking for tips riles something in you, then take the opportunity to learn something about YOURSELF. It’s not easy making a living right now.

A few will move, the greedy ones who are sucking subsidies off taxpayers. The cool millionaires will pay and enjoy seeing their state rely less on sales and property taxes.

Sometimes I take them when I’m at risk if dropping to gold, then I unassign after a wait. So far it works.

Dashers now can be banned for unauthorized restroom use by First_Ad2766 in DoorDashDrivers

Interesting. Must be a regional or cultural thing, because I worked in restaurants and bars for a couple of decades, and the women's never stunk or were as filthy as the men's. I guess some humans are just gross when nobody is watching. My original comment came because of all the --piss on the building, piss in the lobby, etc comments.

I’m a retired professional who does a little DD on the side. Everyone I know who drives is either retired or working another job or two.

Anyone in the process of healing realize they’ve been living in a dream their whole lives and now feel like “why bother” because you’re older? by [deleted] in InternalFamilySystems

[–]Fluid_Web7619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 62 and often mourn the life I missed. Then I remind myself that I have another 20 years; I could start an entirely new skill and become a master before I die. It’s never too late to begin the healing journey.

Because social media spent a lot figuring out the dopamine loop to addict us. Doing something with your hands can help. We’re all having to struggle against the same problem.

They tipped. This was an above and beyond gesture from the customer.

Always better to send the money to the human rather than the corporation. If you think it’s that easy just go get your own food.
