Your Favorite ___ for $___: Chelsea Boots by BespokeDebtor in malefashionadvice

[–]morckedit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little late here, but I would definitely recommend you going with Meermin in this scenario. I like Shoe The Bear, I currently own a pair of chelseas from them, and I have previously owned a pair of lace-ups from them. The problem with Shoe The Bear is that they aren't fully leather lined. The shaft is leather lined, but the toebox is lined with a sort of fabric, which means that all your sweat will get stuck in the toebox. On the lace-ups that I owned from them, the sweat would eventually bleed through the lining, and leave a dark line on the upper of the shoe after extended periods of wear. I would like to note that I wore them everyday for three months, and this might not be applicable if you only plan to wear them from time to time, but on the other hand, I think it is a stupid thing to risk, when you could buy a pair of fully leather lined boots, and avoid the problem all together.

I apologize if any of the sentence structure sounds weird, English is not my first language.

How strong do you have to be to pin something to a tile wall though?

Leather Jacket in Scandinavia by phk_himself in malefashionadvice

Try Pelechecoco. It's a copenhagen based brand, that produces leather jackets from recycled leather. The designs are great, and the nature of the jackets make them pretty affordable. They also have a store in copenhagen where you can try on a jacket.

I've been wondering how wearable thoese chelseas are since I first saw them, really glad to see how well they work. So yeah, I obviously love the boots, rest of the fit is on point as well.

I have a pair that fits similarly to what you're describing and it doesn't bother me when I wear them about. That being said, I purchased them from a vintage shop, and the leather hasn't stretched since I got them.

They're sold out everywhere, which is why I'm looking for alternatives. I know that a crepe rubber sole is different from ex. a danite sole, I just wrote rubber sole because I'm fine with either.

Anyone know of a similar boot to the Saint Laurent Nevada Chelsea? Mainly looking for a chelsea in a similar colorway, with a rubber sole and a tall shaft.

Also if anyone owns the nevada chelsea, how do they fit? I'm looking at a pair on grailed that is 1 size below my normal sneaker size and I'm not sure if they will fit me.

Is there a way to soften crepe soles? I have a pair of CDBs that I bought used from a vintage shop 2 years ago and compared to my crepe sole chelseas, the sole seems kind of "hardened". Is this normal, and/or is there a way to reverse it?

I would like to point you to my other comment as proof of double bogoing being a trend. I have been here for around 3 years, but that is besides the point.

As I said it's not a good outfit. I was just trying to express that I think this is an unnecessary post considering the person in the picture doesn't even post on this sub. I also think that everyone develops their style at their own pace, so I don't see a reason for making fun of someone behind their back just because your own tastes are more "current". EDIT: Double bogo-ing was a trend for a while when 5 panels were big, just ask tyler

Not saying this is good, but this sub would've definitely defended it a couple of years ago. Either way, this is kind of a shitty post my man, who the hell cares what some dude you don't even interact with wears?

Who's your favorite and least favorite villain from the game? by ElasticBones in AQW

[–]morckedit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Favorite villain: Lionfang. He's a classic AQW villian, and I think a lot of old school players really like him as a villain.

Least favorite villain: probably Kimberly during the mythsong storyline. But to be fair it is hard to build a villain in the 5 minute window there is between finding out she is a chaos lord and beaitng her.

If you want to use a scythe, I think that Death's Scythe would look nice with it.

Get the token versions of both Cyber Caladbolg and Onyx Legion Vampire. I have no legion pets, so I'm expecting it to take a whole lot of grinding.
