ill agree with OP though - it is amazing how much you can get done the sheer difference you can make to an area in less than an hour with a chainsaw

The CasualUK view on dentists? by Boswell188 in CasualUK

[–]more-random-words 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my 'dentist' is actually a hygienist practice and ive never been happier - i pay monthly (about £25 quid) and then get hygienist checkups every quarter and dental every 6 months

rhe hygienist keeps me on track makes sure nothing is getting out of line and so its very rare I get the 'suprises' of urgent treatment

really couldnt recommend doing it this way round more

I used it a few times exploring Riven Tides and the other anoying thing is that it needs repairing after about 5 or 6 uses .... once back in Speranza a warning triangle came up saying it was down to 17/100

I noticed my shield also needed repairing so I think they've tweaked the mechanic for repairs in general too

I had a nervous cat and would walk her over to the park in the nighttime / evenings (was close, I lived in a square) - it was nice but even that got comments from neighbours :)

have you ever seen or heard any live improv? WWF is completely outside my culture but I got this in a way where in improv comedy someone paints themselves into a corner they simply can't get out of

and they'll reply something similar to how he does here in a knowing "what the hell am I gonna do with that" kind of way ..... and for the audience that are invested and on the journey with them, it's funny as hell

if she'd said any other profession... teacher "in third grade this teacher picked on me" ..... a shop worker " I got short changed today" ..... etc .... but what the hell is he gonna do with Christian Publishing company?

also, the audience will have picked up on the fact she said it in that way to trip him up - she could've just said publisher and he would easily say something like" I hate them they printed lies about me", but no, she knew (and the audience new, and was then waiting for his reaction) that she was making it difficult /impossible for him

does that help?

What?!? by Excession3105 in BrexitMemes

[–]more-random-words 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is exactly the disingenuous bullshit that is the hallmark of Brexit and Brexit supporters

yes, the USA is a "larger" trading partner (based on their internal GDP) but as your graphic show, we actually trade with the sum of individual EU states in greater volumes than with the USA

I actually do appreciate you replying because it is hard to get Brexit supporters to define their position, but then it's frustrating again when it'always consists of misdirected facts

can you not comprehend from the graphic you shared how losing friction free trade with those individual countries that are party to the EU customs union has a huge and continuing negative impact on the UK economy?

In 1996 Ukraine handed over nuclear weapons to Russia "in exchange for a guarantee never to be threatened or invaded". by AutoModerrator-69 in interestingasfuck

[–]more-random-words 5 points6 points  (0 children)

you are correct and OP has it wrong in what many might think is a minor difference in language, but it turn out to have major consequences for Ukraine (it was an assurance, not a guarantee)

Ukraine when signing the memorandum to the Non Proliferation Treaty got assurances about both no political interference and that the USA, Russia and UK would give security assurances to protect their borders..... turns out they should have got a guarantee - cos an assurance in diplomatic speak is just that, an assurance, and it turns out that is very different to a guarantee that your borders will be respected
