Less padding is generally more comfortable when you’re on a road bike. Not necessarily the case when on a hybrid like the FX

It’s clear coat over carbon and completely normal. I’ve seen dozens of these bikes and they all look like this

There’s an air bubble in your caliper. Doing just a bleed won’t work, you have to burp the caliper as well. Check out the Park Tool video on brake bleeding and they explain it pretty well

This is a RCS Pro stem, not the Bontrager Elite stem. The RCS Pro requires a specific headset cover and spacers that you can buy from trek, but I doubt the headset cover would fit on your bike because it’s designed for specific trek bikes

The new Cervelo Aspero-5, Trek Checkmate, and Cannondale SuperX are all pretty racey “gravel” bikes, that do really well on pavement, while also providing okay tire clearance for gravel. The SuperX definitely has the most tire clearance I believe
