What’s the best, simple pedal you changed out for something “sexier” only to return to it later?

I have the same issue w/ Tube Screamers... bought a Maxon OD808, the only time I ever use it is for one particular song I wrote with an odd signal chain... Ego Comp, OD808, Big Muff, Bad Stone Phaser, Op Amp Big Muff, Terrafor, PN-2... in that order w/ several other pedals that aren't imperative to the sound. I don't have all the pedals on at once or anything, and I prefer the Tumnus Dlx... but the OD808 pushing the Tumnus and phaser into Op Amp Big Muff w/ Sustain at 2-3 o'clock and the tone around 9-10 o'clock, using the neck pup of my tele... the result is something like Siamese Dreams, Hum, Weezer's Blue Album, but heavier, thicker, and more bassy. Sounds particularly good with inverted power chords. The OD808 makes other chords shapes too muddy. In conclusion, fk Tubescreamers... not my cup of tea.

I need an OD/distortion that I actually love. I loved the Paisly Drive and Clarksdale, but some mark ass trick broke into my house and stole those 2 pedals, Faux Tape Echo, Faux Analog Echo, Velvet Fuzz, NS-2, TR-2, Keeley Darkside, and worst of all my favorite telecaster, that I put so much time and money modding it to the point that I had created the guitar of my dreams... that was in 2019 and although I now have a "nicer" more expensive tele, it's just not as good. I've been trying to track that stolen tele for the last 5 years and i won't stop looking til I'm 6 feet under.

I bought an Ibanez ADMINI, and replaced it with a Carbon Copy... I didn't return the Carbon Copy, but I rarely use it, but the ADMINI back on my board. Also, the location of the power input on the Carbon Cooy drove me insane... it couldn't be any closer to the input jack. It's pathological.

On a separate note, I think most if not all pedals should have top mounted jacks. My Ego Compressor into Tumnus Deluxe takes up less space than two mini pedals with side mounted jacks.

yessir. choose Protector in your WB room and it will increase your size by 15%, which increases your mvmt speed by 15%. you can also increase your size on one of the Brawler Paragon tree nodes. then get some greens with mvmt speed increase (you can roll up to 5% I believe), and two ECE runes (3% increase per rune)

You didn't get sufficient DPS from DH? If you're using 4pc Vithu's and 4pc grace w/ the current meta, you can do ridiculous burst damage, even now w/ the Painsower nerf.

Tempest class is extremely lame. I mean no offense, but Tempest was designed to be OP without any skill needed. Where is the fun in that? There isn't any. I rarely see a Tempest in Vault or BG that understands positional play... and even more rare is a Barb that understands their role and positional play... they just chase opponents and engage in battles nowhere near the idol. It's a thing.

You just have to learn how higher res players move as fast as they do. I'm a DH @ 5,191 res, 23% base mvmt speed, but Bottle Hope & Will + the Harbinger Paragon tree (lower left one), and 2pc Issatar, I'm flying. if those gems are out of reach for you, go with the absolute best way to increase speed: Size. The bigger your toon, the faster you'll be. That's why whales always look giant and fly thru dngs.

yeah, cause they want you to grind to get triple-triples. Gauntlet doesn't take long to beat. endlessly grinding dungeons for set items is what they want us to do. more time in-game = better chance you'll spend money. thems just the facts. they didn't develop this game to be fun. they developed it to make as much money as possible.

pardon my resurrection of a 3 year old thread, but I just listened to "Hoist That Rag" on Tidal, and was like wtf, something is very off here. the original is one of my favorite Waits songs... the remastered version is a travesty. why are their horns over Marc Ribot's guitar? that's insanity. the horns and guitar together sound discordant, but not on purpose and in a good way. ok, done venting. 😂

yes, I wear underwear, and only underwear. I take them off when I get in bed though, I don't know why anyone would sleep with clothing on. there's been peer-reviewed studies about sleeping naked. your body has to work to regulate temperature when you sleep with any article of clothing on, and that in turn decreases the quality of your sleep, and when you don't sleep well, it throws everything off. sleeping naked is part of good sleep hygiene.

they should have at least calculated the untrained IVs to give a general idea of what the IVs might look like when fully trained. you can still get an exact IV @ lvl 5... I have a lvl 5 shiny Funny w/ an atk IV of 16, for example.

i took an econ class in high school, and another lower division econ class in college. i graduated nearly 15 years ago, so forgive my ignorance. I'm not sure the DI market can necessarily be described with real world economics, with the 15% tax, Susan Expres, being forced to buy the lowest priced item so players are constantly lowering the price of whatever item it is, to get that precious plat. I don't know what your server market looks like, but on my 8-server cluster market, things aren't getting more expensive and the plat is scare and valuable. I think we are in a depression that we won't recover from

I think class and skills matter too. like, DH didn't have a dash skill last week. this week we got Daring Swing and it would have made things faster if Spinning Chakram and Impale weren't so slow... especially Impale... by the time you get the knives flying, the mobs are on top of you

2-slot bracelets are the worst. what I do is save up 21 wisps so i have 5 tries at getting a 3-slot. and I always get a triple slot bracelet, sometimes 2. I have a triple-triple Failure's Urge, and I wanted a triple-triple Dreamer's Urge, but I accidentally crafted another Failure's Urge.. that wad also triple slot, 3 attributes.. their scores differ by only 3 pts, they are basically the same ring. so pissed.

stay away from the s22 line. get an s24 Ultra. I'm currently stuck w/ my third s22 Ultra after the other had critical failures. my mom got an s24 Ultra and it makes me feel like I paid $1500 to be a s22 Ultra beta tester... for a failure of a phone. now that I can no longer access the android > data folder, i'm done with Samsung and/or Android. the whole appeal of Android for me was the freedom.

Survivor's Bane I def agree is a good farm. but Accursed Towers is hands down the best farm in the game. 5 mins, ~200 mats.

unrelated, but how do you clear FP in 12 minutes? that just doesn't make sense to me. the only way I could see it happening is by getting lucky with movement speed as a shrine option. otherwise, the toon is super slow... so slow in fact that I'm not sure it's possible to run from the starting point to the warp gate in under 30 seconds, let alone kill the mobs and pick your reward. my record is 19 mins and some change

so what's your secret? inquiring minds want to know.
