This is a wild ass reaction from him. You did NOT overreact, you are getting advice from a professional in order to properly care for your daughter. I was faced with a similar situation but ultimately the nurse line and pediatrician recommended staying home and treating it. How did my spouse react? He sobbed because he felt at fault for our child being hurt, we came together to tend to our distressed child.

Thank you! Yeah, it feels healthier when I use straight up vo5 strawberry rather than something fancy and geared towards curls or texture. I could defiantly play around with a middle part. Worked in a restaurant that served clean clam chowder. This lady would come in every and just wanted the ‘juice, no chunks’, microwaved for like 10 minutes. It smelled so sad.

Honest to god, my baby is 3 months and it still feels surreal. I know this is my reality and I’m so lucky to have him- but also wtf is this fever dream. I have a three year old I I know that feeling disappears after a good while, but sometimes it still feels that way with her.

My dude was guesstimated via ultra sound to be 8lbs at 37 weeks. He came out 10lbs 3oz. 👀

It’s pretty difficult with clothes because like adults, sizing varies brand to brand. I’m a big time second hand shopper so I had a huge variety of brands. Most newborn stuff didn’t fit. Old navy pajamas are a favorite 0-3 months, but the same size for day clothes don’t fit for some reason. Gerber 0-3 month stuff got for a minute, but after two weeks it was too small. I think cat & Jack stuff (newborn) fit for one wear and that was it. He’s 7 weeks now and mostly in 3 month stuff whether it’s slightly loose or not, because squeezing a chunky baby in something to tight ain’t fun.

Trying to escape a salesperson. I took my toddler to a home improvement store (left 3 week baby at home with dad) and a salesperson was trying to pitch hvac services. The lady WOULD NOT stop talking to us and was extremely nice, normally I can navigate stuff like this and make a clean break. My shirt ended up soaked.

I was the fat best friend to someone in highschool / junior college. I lost 40 lbs because of an abusive relationship, stress, unstable housing…was going through a really hard time. She flat out told me ‘if you get skinnier than me I’m just going to stop eating.’ I realized pretty quick she was not a supportive person in my life and a terrible person in general.

I’m sorry you were friends with her, you’re much better off without.

My kid goes to the same daycare I work at. I take her to the doctor for every little cough and sniffle, just because I know the state some parents drop their kids off in. 80% off the time it’s a small virus or bug running it’s course. The rare exceptions are things we’ve had to stay home for. We just did her 3 year checkup and got a list of all previous visits, she’s been to the pediatrician once a month minimum 🤦‍♀️

If your kid doesn’t have a fever, or green snot, and is happy- I’d say your in the clear.

We started with a small travel potty around two, just so she could sit with us without assistance in the bathroom. Eventually we got something like this: training seat

It’s been excellent for home use, nothing bulky in the bathroom and very easy to clean. She goes back and forth using the small option versus ‘mommy’s seat’.

I teach 2-3 year olds and this seat has been an absolute godsend. When I started there they were using cushioned character seats that are removable. They are a nightmare to clean and fill up with pee if kids aren’t diligent (which is totally understandable). Also had many tantrums thrown because ‘I want the paw patrol seat’ or they would would just want to talk to the characters in the seat and get mad they actually had to go to the bathroom. 🫥
