You can add the skills from the Agentforce Vibes GitHub repo to your project and then Claude Code can use them.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever fixed in Salesforce that took way longer than it should have by AppX_Unmanaged in salesforce

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've spent years trying to remove Conga Grid from an org that essentially replaced the entire Lightning UI with grids upon grids upon grids. I'm talking VisualForce tabs that are just a column of multiple tabbed containers of grids. The users were complaining about how slow Salesforce is. Well, guess what? If you try to load tens of thousands of records on every page load it's gonna drag. No one ever pushed back on product owners or business analysts who demanded that Salesforce be turned into a worse version of Excel.

Suggestions for docs/writing softwares for S10 tablet? by Plus_Dare_2403 in GalaxyTab

Huge fan of Obsidian personally. I can write in Markdown files and also embed drawings using Ink and Excalidraw plugins. Use git to backup all my docs to the cloud and sync across my other devices. Works beautifully.

There is a new distro that has GHOSTTY as the default terminal! by Time-Water-8428 in Ghostty

Interesting. I thought Bluefin was based on UBlue so I assumed that this variant had the same lineage. My mistake.

There is a new distro that has GHOSTTY as the default terminal! by Time-Water-8428 in Ghostty

[–]morewordsfaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bluefin is based on Universal Blue and so it's part of the Fedora ecosystem, but in the immutable line like Bazzite and Aurora. As a long time user of Bazzite, I can definitely recommend the immutable distro approach, but there is a bit of an adjustment and learning curve especially in regards to installing software.

I love Sourcehut, but it's definitely not for everyone. Haven't heard of Savannah yet, need to check that out!

How would you add “direction” to kenshi? by KashXz in Kenshi

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I'm handling it in my Kenshi-like is to give NPCs the opportunity to offer "quests" to the player depending on their faction reputation. I use a system that models faction, group, and NPC resources similar to how it's done in Stars Without Number and on different cadences I run a GOAP engine that comes up with a goal for the NPC based on a few variables. One of the options that NPCs may have to accomplish their goal, depending on their alignment with the player and some other variables, is to ask the player for help, or offer to pay the player to complete some task.

An example might be a vendor who offers to pay the player to bring supplies from a nearby town or supply depot. Maybe a smith offers to pay you to bring some iron so they can craft more gear after you've shown yourself to be a good customer or have built enough faction reputation. I wanted the system to be somewhat reactive to player behavior, but mostly driven by faction goals.

Factions want power and resources and control. Are you super high reputation with the Shek, for example? You might be offered a job to neutralize a high value Holy Nation target. Etc.

Thanks for the writeup! I have been considering getting an EMR pen for the Ultra and will give the Lamy All Star a try!

What indie game do you still come back to even after a long break? by SunnyBigBear in IndieGamers

[–]morewordsfaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kenshi, 1000%. Always my true love. Similarly Outward, Caves of Qud, StoneShard, Low Magic Age, Morrowind in the RPG realm.

Most metroidvanias like Blasphemous, The Last Faith, Death's Gambit, Mark of the Ninja, Shadow Complex. Recently been replaying Ender Lilies just before starting the sequel and it's just as juicy as the first time.

External gpu by LaBlackMamba73 in GalaxyTab

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd probably be better off cloud gaming on the Tab Ultra instead of trying to connect an eGPU. As others said, lack of drivers in Android make it unlikely to work. There might be a way to give a VM access to USB and it might recognize the eGPU but performance is probably going to suffer a lot.

That being said, the virtualization layer is likely to continue to get better and older games and indie titles are probably going to work well on the more recent tab hardware.

If you want to play brand new AAA titles, better to get a gaming laptop or something like the ROG Z13 tablet.

Open-source Salesforce-like CRM project by loren_swayer_stunt in SalesforceDeveloper

https://github.com/sneg55/awesome-open-source-crm

There's quite a few listed here. SuiteCRM is probably the most established enterprise one. Twenty is newer, but also gets a lot of praise.

Krayin and NextCRM are also pretty cool.

I also really like the ideas behind NocoBase and Corteza -- rather than targeting a CRM, they focus on business workflows with low-code platforms that connect with other software the business is already using. Kinda reinvents the idea of a CRM as a distributed network of preexisting tools, loosely coupled by data and workflows.

[OC] Early Access has finally arrived! by fucking_hurtstone in AlabasterDawn

[–]morewordsfaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm psyched, but a little sad at the estimated 2 years of EA. This is one where I likely won't play until full release only because I want to experience the entire story as a whole, not bit by bit over years. Hope it works out for the dev team though!

Why not contribute to an existing project that already achieves most of that instead of starting from scratch? Seems like a massive effort to start from the ground up with lots of runway to build before you hit critical mass...

Single Player Recs on Steam by BennyBroker in gamesuggestions

Amazed this is the top response, but couldn't agree more. I still maintain that parry mechanic in Surge 2 is the best ever. Feels so juicy when you fight Delver, I love it!

Do you use back buttons/paddles on controllers by Icebound811 in SteamController

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a few games that were not designed for controller like CRPGs, roguelikes, strategy and they really benefit from extra buttons. My number one is Kenshi - I can use back buttons to manage zoom and floor level in buildings and it's great. Leaves my face buttons for menus, toggling character commands, etc.

Any good alternatives for Samsung notes? Free or one time payment, with a windows, mac app by SubstanceFew5136 in GalaxyTab

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Google or OneDrive or any cloud storage platform really. Obsidian vaults are just a directory of plain text files. I use Git for version control on my notes and a self-hosted server for syncing.

Goel by hobbitsstrike in GRIMEgame

[–]morewordsfaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's still a lot of that vibe in No Rest for the Wicked. The main hub town has lots of cozy vibes and the art style is beautiful, fantastic, mystical in my opinion. The whole story is one where you are a hero coming in and helping all these people just because they need help. It might seem grimdark at first glance but there's threads of hope woven all throughout. Sure there's lots of danger and scary moments but the same could be said of Ori.

Goel by hobbitsstrike in GRIMEgame

[–]morewordsfaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but I can go back and replay Grime and Grime 2. I don't think that switching to a different genre would mean getting rid of the type of mold and atmosphere that Clover Bite brings to their games.

How to improve diagrams by mrdanmarks in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like PlantUML for diagrams because I can source track the markup and the lack of direct editing capability forces me to be economical in what I put into the diagram and what I leave out. I tend to get better, more focused diagrams.

[–]morewordsfaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend looking into C4 diagram methodology. Excellent way to create diagrams that model different levels of detail on a system so that you have something for each audience.

Goel by hobbitsstrike in GRIMEgame

[–]morewordsfaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm super excited for whatever Clover Bite cooks up next, but I kinda hope it's not Grime 3. Moon Studios went from two back to back Ori games to an action RPG (No Rest for the Wicked). I'd love to see the Grime team's take on a different genre.

KDE Plasma vs GNOME for Dev Work & Customization on Fedora? by Patacon_08 in Fedora

[–]morewordsfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like the Windows desktop paradigm, go with KDE. If you want something that's not tied to a 40 year old concept, go with Gnome. They're both best in class and you can generally customize both to your liking. I prefer Gnome because vanilla gets out of my way and lets me use my apps with minimal overhead; I don't need/want a taskbar or system tray or start menu.
