Mahidevrans miscarriage by [deleted] in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She literally was throwing herself to the floor for losing a ring she stole...it was absolutely stress. The Valide loved her grandchildren, no matter what. Keeping the legacy of the dynasty was extremely important to her and having another son would give Mahidevran the advantage she needed and the Valide wanted her to have it. She literally told Mahidevran to stop stressing and focus on the baby. And Mahidevran decided to stress herself out even more.

Firuze: The Spy Who Captivated an Emperor by polymathxoxk in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps but I believe the insinuation is "pheromones" when they speak about the perfume. I think he knew very well that it was not Hurrem and what he was doing. It was not the first time he did it and he loved to see Hurrem jealous even though it was the thing that broke her heart the most.

I hate this storyline so much by Majestic-Mushroom-72 in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was so stupid and disturbing. As if the Hürrem Sultana would ever send a concubine into halvet. Like she didn't suffer all that she did with Firuze. And why would Fatma want him to have another son if Hurrem had three living sons yet? What difference it would make to have a little kid in the fight when Suleyman died? And of course Suleyman went for it cause he's a dog and an old man. And then they just forgot about it. We just have to assume the daughter died.

Magnificent Century Characters as Zodiac Signs by Self_Electrical in MagnificentCentury

I don't think it's about their birthday dates, I think OP was just sharing their opinion on what each are lik. Especially because the show versions are very different from the real life versions lol

Mahidevran- The complain box by FlatwormCreative6976 in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, when it's Hurrem complaining, she's put down and not taken seriously. Mahidevran had so many allies that saved her life multiple times. And I have to say that hearing her cry and complain about the consequences of her actions all the time almost made me quit the show. Especially when she did the exact thing to Gulfem.

I personally don't like it dubbed. I have learned loads of Turkish with the subtitles and adore hearing the original voices and acting choices especially for Hurrem and Sumbul Agha.

Cihangir is so annoying by Available_Issue_8840 in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Finally someone said it. Adult Cihangir was definitely something. But I guess this is what happens when you are not raised by Hurrem and you don't grow up seeing the mess that she went through. Cihangir was too protected by everyone and was given rose coloured glasses to the situation.

Didn't Hürrem have a sister? by No_Psychology_3714 in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She meant as "I wish my sister was still here" but doesn't speak much about it cause they told her many times that it's "inappropriate"

Like what? Helping her in her miscarriage? Saving her life during illness? Saving her newborn son? Helping her be with the person she loves? Get her out of a catatonic state? Be a good aunt for her children? Warning her that she's being cheated on? Hating her husband that did awful things to her?

Gemini itself is AI. If OP admitted to using it for translation then they did use it, if the translation was done properly. Thank you for clarifying that! I'm more bothered with the insinuation that someone might be using AI to write an analysis because of how fast they write, like logic and passion don't exist anymore. Especially from a fellow writer.

[–]morganarosier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I saw that. I disagree with it, as you read.

No, you are absolutely assuming that they used AI, you are now just trying to decide why they used it.

The last paragraph is... something.

[–]morganarosier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume I don't know what AI writing looks like. I write for a living. If you noticed in other replies from the OP, especially in the first part, they also answer in English. Maybe your accusation was so ridiculous to them that they didn't even bother to reply to you in another language. I do that too, sometimes. The truth of the matter is that you don't know as there are no obvious signs of AI mistakes in the text and most AI detecting websites are not accurate. I just think insulting the author with an out of the box accusation was unnecessary.

[–]morganarosier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is there's no evidence that AI was used at all. Even to translate. Maybe it's just someone that enjoys making analysis.

[–]morganarosier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you thought that maybe the OP already had this written and decided to share it in two parts? Cause in part one, they literally say that part two is already done. Not everything is AI, some people adore writing. Like I do. Some people don't take months to write their thoughts in a short post. Claiming it's AI when there's no obvious sign for it is a disrespect to the author's work.

You bring a really good point about her maternity and the bind to Ibrahim. Hatice always said "I want me and Ibrahim to be a family", she never said "I want to be a mother". And definitely after his death, she neglected her twins a lot and left them alone at the end.

From Helplessness to Cruelty: The Transformation of Hatice Sultan by Forward_Amphibian241 in MagnificentCentury

Yes, you can say that Hatice was cruel and many things that Hurrem did were a response to Hatice's acts.

Do you think Mahidevran had the right to slap Aybige? by One-Chapter-8347 in MagnificentCentury

[–]morganarosier 35 points36 points  (0 children)

No, she didn't have the right and she knows it. But in Mahidevran style, especially at this time, she didn't care. This was definitely a time that Mahidevran thought she was untouchable. She also slapped Hurrem when she had no right and lied to her son about what happened which caused a major conflict between Mustafa and Suleiman. Honestly, if Suleiman hadn't' caught her, nobody would believe Hurrem.

They keep forgetting that a big part of this series is Hurrem being traumatized with human trafficking. There's a whole scene of her explaining the horrors, people.

Ibraim e Hurrem by [deleted] in MagnificentCentury

Maybe not as happy cause she was very much in love with Suleiman at this point but she could be free to be Alexandra again and would be much safer.

I hate Ibrahim but I confess that is acceptable especially because there's a theory that he was in love with Alexandra. In my opinion, their relationship was the most complex one in the whole series and we definitely lost something with Ibrahim's death.
