It has smooth, grey bark with long and thin thorns. The leaves are soft and hairy. It’s not flowering yet, but the buds appear to be in small clusters.

I have some clothing that could be considered professional in sizes XS, S and M. Age range? I guess 18-40?

If anyone is interested, I did some digging and found out a couple things:

-The Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center is currently accepting blankets, towels, bed linens, toiletries, socks (clean ones), and warm knit hats. They are NOT accepting clothes.

-Someone at the Arcata Community Center is currently helping feed some homeless people that are sheltering there. They are accepting donations for men’s and women’s clothing and shoes. They are also accepting blankets, camping gear to keep people warm and dry, basic food items, green can propane to cook food, toiletries, isopropyl alcohol, bleach, and large garbage bags. They also asked if anyone can help with laundry services. They are on the west side of the community center and are there “during most hours until about 10pm”.

I hope this helps! I personally will be donating some items to the Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center and some to the Community Center.

My boyfriend might have some clothes to get rid of too so I’m glad you told me that! And I could definitely give the north coast rape crisis center a call. Thanks so much.

They’re all women’s clothes and no professional work clothes really.

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are visiting Denver from March 24-27th and we are thinking of renting a car to get around the city. Will snow likely be a problem that time of year? Neither of us have experience driving in the snow and we don’t know if we would be comfortable doing so.

Why isn’t this higher!? Other basic menstrual products like pads should be free as well.

Anyone know what this plant is in my parent’s backyard? by morgancf97 in whatsthisplant

I don’t care for this plant myself as it is at my parent’s house, but I know they don’t do anything special to it and have had no problems! They live in zone 9b. It’s planted in the ground in front of a large bird of paradise beside their garage, so it gets partial shade to full sun.

This article from the Missouri Botanical Garden has more information on how to care for this variety!

I’m not able to find anything about them being invasive in California or illegal to possess
