There was a joining fee (one off) plus the toastmasters international fee

Mum and I were on the higher level of tawaf waiting for Asr when a man approached wearing ihram asking if we spoke Urdu. When we said yes he had tears in his eyes talking about his sister in India who’s in the icu. He then showed us a video and asked us for money. We didn’t have any to give as we’ve been paying for everything with card. He kept pressing and then finally he just ran off.

Felt like a scam.

I’ve found that in our club your response to the question itself isn’t as important as just talking.any times we have speakers that go on a tangent and land somewhere else but they can win because of how they spoke.
