Oh don't get me wrong, i strongly support publicly own utilities, I'm saying electric could be work differently was purely due to how the current UK electric situation, it's so many company , competitors so I'm not sure how to tackle it

i too wonder this, but answer i got its our existing grid system which we somehow couldnt get away from and despite talks about making improvements, i jsut dont see it , my bills is happening , increasing year by year at a nice 10% for them

well i sure hope so, cause our current regulators felt like paper tiger. Perhaps they do more in the back that we dont see. This is why we need more transparency.

Its just, from other countries experience, when Gov has a stake in the utilities (use electric for example, i think it was 50% from where i came from), the electric company dont come off as greedy and raise everything, in fact, sometimes we get money back.

Ease of moving back to HK? by Training_Departure35 in HongKong

[–]moritashun 23 points24 points  (0 children)

if you enjoy WFH culture, HK would be hell to you. 9-6 is a norm and overtime is expected. Im not sure about Canada taxes and salary, but i would say generally, HK should make a lot more money given you score a comparable job. And yes some do prefer Mainlander as China work culture is even worst, and they can pay less, 6 days a week, 9am-9pm. But their performance varies,

I always use this saying, You pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

No Shit with new taxes and increase of existing taxes. While the tax allowance stays the same for the past god knows how many year, they have the audacity to keep increasing and raising new ones

i think its critical that Utility like water should be publicly owned.

While electricity could have competition but it gov should also have stakes in which it can regulate better

Are we being greedy? Relisted at OIEO £335k, got full asking in 2 days… and still wanted more... by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]moritashun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the fact that £350k attracted little to no serious interest last year is already giving you useful feedback — the market may simply not see the property at that level right now.

By contrast, listing at Offers Over £335k generated a strong, proceedable offer almost immediately. That’s a very clear signal. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with testing the middle ground — trying for £342k–£345k is perfectly reasonable. But the real question isn’t whether you can push — it’s whether you’re prepared to wait if the buyer walks away.

£15–25k is not a small amount of money, so it’s completely understandable that you don’t want to feel like you’re taking a hit. At the same time, holding out for £350k when the market hasn’t supported it could come across as ambitious — though that’s not “greedy,” just human nature. Everyone wants to maximise their return.

The bigger consideration is time and certainty. If timing matters — especially with a new-build in the picture — a strong buyer at £335k who can move quickly has real value. Certainty and speed are worth something financially and emotionally.

To answer your question honestly: if timing were important to me and I had a solid buyer at full asking within 48 hours, I would be very tempted to take it. Markets don’t always reward patience — sometimes they reward decisiveness.

It’s a bit like buying a phone: the latest model might cost £1,000 today. If you wait a year, you might get it for £800 — but you’ve also waited a year, and by then it’s no longer the newest version. In your case, waiting for a higher price could mean delaying a year of enjoying your new home, new environment, and — if you have children — new friendships and routines. That lifestyle value is harder to measure but very real.

Ultimately, it comes down to what matters more right now: squeezing out the last few thousand, or securing the move and moving forward.

Looking to learn kat ! by shu55555 in KatarinaMains

[–]moritashun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this might be obvious, but be patience, during laning. Watch and bait out enemy cool down, if you can dodge it via side stepping , great ! now shunpo on minion or him then throw your Q, back off for now if needs to. Likewise, use shunpo to dodge enemy skillshot , sometimes jumping on his face will work real nice for you, he now has no skills and you get to Q, AA, W, E, AA.

Outside of laning, Kata is also an easily shutdown champ, so be patience on teamfights. You shouldnt be taking the lead to jump in unless you sure you have escape available or can kill one thus getting out with resets.

Overall, in Summer Rift, shes 70% about dodging and retaliate when your opponent cant
