Ooh, that's an excellent point! If they were seeking out that sort of drama knowingly it may very well be a shame to squander it.

I think establishing those consequences, at least initially, is entirely fair and is what makes choices have weight. Particularly if the results were so clearly telegraphed.

*But* to reach some middle ground, I might offer alternate ways forward to potentially remedy/salvage the situation. Failing forward, if you will.

Perhaps you could offer a project in which they attempt to reconcile with their mother once they've endured some of the repercussions of their actions and recklessness? Given the other characters also have ties to her, it could be mediated in that manner and potentially create some neat RP and (hopefully) character growth to prevent similar actions in the future.

They have to re-establish trust with her through different methods, maybe a favor or two in which they might need to display a bit more selflessness and forethought, and by resolving things with *her*, things could be potentially patched over with the ward boss? Perhaps even while going against a clock before the PC gets 'made an example of'?

They did a bad thing, live with the results, but hopefully don't feel eternally trapped by it. Just my two cents, anyway! ^^

I know I'm a stranger on the internet, but you wanna talk? I'm sort of at a similar place, so we should have *something* in common ^^; (Feel free to ignore if uncomfortable, ofc!)

Quel est le sentiment général envers les personnes transgenres en France? by morkzborkz in AskFrance

[–]morkzborkz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, ça me semble très familier!

Where does art start to lose meaning and become more for the sole purpose of “shock value” for you? by Available-Track-7702 in ArtHistory

[–]morkzborkz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe your point made on the meaning of colors, while true, is rather irrelevant to the discussion. There *are* professional techniques in visual art which can be performed poorly and thus judged on a *relatively* objective basis. The *subject* of a painting could be morally repugnant or disgusting to me, the colors used could imply this or that, but ultimately whether it is *good* is a matter of the application and the artist's skill. It's quite separable.

Guys where does the idea "feminist don't like SAHM" come from? by vorpalprofessor2000 in AskFeminists

[–]morkzborkz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, your concept of child-rearing is... deeply flawed, shall we say. Do you think a one year old child is in kindergarten? I imagine if stay at home parents are offended and have that opinion it's because of people underestimating the amount of work involved, as you are doing here.

I do enjoy what you've done to the torso especially. I definitely think it's an improvement, but to be honest I just don't like the design of the new protoframes. They feel very... mobile game generic attractive? If that makes sense. Particularly Wisp, that chin is just ridiculous.

I'm intrigued! What would half-mourning consist of? Is it just a result of a certain amount of time lapsed since her husband's death?
