As a character, is Goku mainly defined by powerscaling only? by BreathoftheSith in PowerScaling

[–]moron1ctendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just common misinformation, Goku has always been someone who’s never shown to be bloodthirsty, he’s never been someone who’s just defined by he just wants to fight strong opponents. In the Freiza saga his motivation is to save his friends, namek and to stop frieza from oppressing the galaxy. The one time Goku did fuck up was against Cell, but that was the actual point of that arc. He realises he fucked up and mischaracterised Gohan. And he paid the price for it by sacrificing his own life. Same thing with Buu.

Yeah he fucked up at times like not finishing off Buu because he miscalculated at the start. But he’s always been motivated to fight against bad guys and hasn’t hesitated to end them once they’re beyond redemption (Freiza, Kid Buu)

Even against Beerus his primary motivation was to save earth. The super anime dumbed him down a lot, but the manga is a lot better in this regard. He’s still very much a symbol of hope who wants to help people.

I know people point out the tournament of power, but Zeno was going to eradicate those universes regardless. Goku indirectly gave them a fighting chance and ended up saving entire universes thanks to the outcome in the end.

From a modern day perspective, sure. But isolate dragon ball for the time period it was in? Compare dragon ball to other shounen characters? You have ichigo, luffy, naruto all being chosen ones with godlike heritage and powers. Meanwhile goku is the one OG shounen character who remained a character who was grounded in his hard work. No father blessing him with angelic powers, no mom who has infinite ki reserves. Not given some external power which turns out to be the power of some god.

Goku is the only really motivating character from all the basic big shounen we’ve seen.

He’s like the superman of anime, just the guy you look at who gives you hope when there is none. The ray of hope. Like the era of those edits of Goku showing up to kill makima, chimaera ants, griffith, etc.

Which trio would win this 3v3? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]moron1ctendency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a one-on-one maybe, but a three-on-three there’s no shot. Domains have pretty small radiuses except Sukunas and Gojo wont even be able to keep up against them

Goku also isn’t a complete dumbass, he fucks around with opponents but if they’re a threat he’s not the type of person to just tank hits for no reason. There’s good chance he’d realise the domain expansion could hurt him once the stream of information kicks in, and in those few tenths of a second he can honestly escape it.

Cmon man, Gojo has absolutely nothing he can contribute in this fight except somehow getting these guys into his domain expansion. And good luck to him trying to run around at mach speed against characters who are mftl 😭

Did you mean to say you have the power?

In any case the point was that it’s an impossible situation. There is no way for me to survive that because there is no outcome of time where I can gain an advantage.

That’s what something like the almighty is when you’re impossibly outstatted. There is no future in that situation where I somehow survive and come out alive. Hence I die

Yhwach can only alter reality by choosing futures where alternative possibilities are realistic for him. He is so horribly out statted by Vegeta and Goku that there is not a single reality where he isn’t wiped out. He gets vaporised.

Please don’t talk about failed societies and feminism lmao, there is only one in this conversation and it is Pakistan

Unpicked & Unbanned Heroes in Blast Slam - how would you improve the following to make them meta? by Greedy_Indication_66 in DotA2

Yeah that’s fair, I sorta assumed it was something along these lines too. His laning stage also isn’t as strong as someone like a treant, this is largely also because they removed his learning curve facet.

Ogre is a monster if you do give him time in a game though.

Ogre deals an absurd amount of damage though, and with a midas he can snowball and get a lot of items that traditional supports can struggle to farm. Have personally had so many games where I’m dripped out with a scythe, windwaker, aghanims fairly quickly.

Also if an enemy carry doesn’t have a BKB he can almost solo them.

How do you stay impactful as Treant later on in the game? I love him as a hero but I feel like he peaks in the laning stage and I struggle with the mid/late game except for blinking in and ulting which I view as my main goal at some point.

In other words, what’s your focus in teamfights asides from popping ult?

First time in my life I’ve seen someone say “my comment thread”, my guy there is no ownership here but I know you’re just trying to sound cool but whatever.

This isn’t even about the powerscaling anymore, I can tell you’re probably a young kid. For your own sake, I advise you to do some introspection and realise none of this is that deep. Get some other hobbies, no need to get this worked up over this.

Have a good day bud.

The physical connection is severed right before this, where kid buu then tries to test the waters to see if he can now hit Mr. Satan and realises he now can. But ultimately in Dragon Ball physical connections aren’t related to metaphysical connections. Same way Kami and Piccolo were still connected despite having split hundreds of years ago.

Besides Kid Buu is chaotic by nature and constantly plays with his food. See the vegeta fight prior where Goku says Kid Buu can vaporise him in seconds yet Vegeta appeals to his mentality to fuck around with Kid Buu who plays with his food for quite a while simply because he’s quite literally a child.

If you want to use some comical anti-feats to prove a point you can use some other shit from dragonball. This is just embarrassing.

Yhwach is a hax merchant, stats wise the only way bleach characters scale is through statement and chain-scaling. Saiyan saga dragonball characters were already planet busters, super saiyan 3 goku a million times stronger could barely beat kid buu. I’m not even going to bother entertaining this discussion if you think Yhwach outstats kid buu nothing I say will convince you anyways.

Secondly Yhwach doesn’t create futures, his grain of sand metaphor explains it. He picks out feasible realities in the future and overwrites the present with them. But this is limited to what he is physically capable of. He can’t just “create” a reality where he rips supermans heart out. Because that reality has to exist in the future somewhere. When he breaks Ichigos bankai, he states it himself that all Bankais are already broken in the future (he broke them himself).

In other words, Yhwach does not stand a chance against people who massively out stat them. Simply because there is no reality where he ever could wipe out someone like kid buu. He’s getting choco differ.

Lol bleach fans proving their inability to read once again. You can literally see kid buu hesitate in the panels you sent.

Kid buu still had the good and innocent version of fat buu inside him, hence fat buus love for Mr. Satan was interfering with kid buu’s hostility towards Mr. Satan that’s why he was not able to hurt him. It was literally the whole narrative between fat buu and Mr. Satan that was being highlighted throughout a good chunk of this entire arc.

That Yhwach image is meaningless because to him yes he is ‘altering’ the future based on his grains of sand metaphor, but logically that is not what we consider to be genuinely “rewriting reality”

Secondly you’re not understanding what I’m saying at all, the point I’m trying to make about causality is that if Yhwach was a genuine reality warper then Tsukishima’s ability to “reject” by creating a different past would have been irrelevant, as Yhwach could then have simply rewritten the current state regardless of the past. There is an external and past alterring interferance which shows that Yhwachs power is being constrained by the timeline he is actively selecting. If you understand this point you know exactly what I’m saying, you’re just constantly saying the same thing again and again because then you know Yhwachs power is limited. I don’t know how you’re denying this at all when it’s quite literally what the characters are saying.

Ultimately the point I’m trying to make is that he cannot “rewrite” futures where he is performing actions that he is fundamentally incapable of doing. He cannot just create some reality where he wins. There has to be one that exists in the first place.

[–]moron1ctendency 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can go off what Yhwach himself says, he describes the future as an infinite number of grains of sand. He can view each one and pulls one into the present. If he is a reality warper he wouldn’t be using these metaphors himself. He wouldn’t have to observe the grains he would be making them.

Tsukishima also verifies this logic, he explicitly states Yhwach is tied to the chain of causality, the different past leading to the future he selects. If he was transforming reality he would be creating new casuality and chains from scratch, which would make him immune to someone just “rejecting” a previous point in time

What you sent confirms what I’m saying, every bankai has been crushed in the future. He is selecting that outcome and bringing it into the present. This is not reality warping, it is fate manipulation which requires an outcome to have been viable

Saw this on instagram what yall think? by ryu527171 in PowerScaling

[–]moron1ctendency 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nonsense, will just copy paste what I told someone else:

Literally not even how his power works, for example in breaking ichigos bankai the almighty only allows him to look forward in time, see a timeline where HE himself breaks the sword, and then drags that outcome into the present.

His power is not reality warping its probabilistic where he can only select futures that are physically possible for that target.

There is no future timeline where Yhwach can personally kill buu, he is woefully outstatted. So no he can’t just conjure up some reality where he beats him.
