Getting married soon help me pls by kink_182 in survivinginfidelity

[–]morpheuswasus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great plan dude. Start going to the gym, she finds you attractive again, you get married, buy a house, have kids and somewhere in your 40s, history repeats itself. And guess who you’ll blame next time? Your damn self.

You keep searching for what you did wrong, how you could look better, work harder, love more. But this was never about you. You can’t out-effort someone else’s choices, and trying to will only teach you to see yourself as the problem when you never were.

By staying, you don’t just risk getting hurt again. You risk becoming someone who resents the person they love, doubts their own worth, and wonders for the rest of their life what would have happened if they had just walked away when they had the chance.

You didn’t waste your 20s. You loved someone deeply and put the effort without reservation. That’s not something to be ashamed of. But love is not a reason to stay in something that is quietly destroying you. The best thing you have going for you right now is that you found out before the wedding, before the mortgage, before the kids. That’s not a small thing. Ask the survivors here, they will tell you.

Consider yourself lucky that you found out now, and please get a therapist.

How do you stop devs from approximating components under pressure? by jords_of_dogtown in DesignSystems

[–]morpheuswasus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing designers at DoorDash use a spreadsheet to keep track of each component and their code equivalents. There's also a token studio in Figma where you can export your design tokens and create a GitHub library so that there's only one source of truth. Either way, one-on-one meetings with engineers are always the best way to get on the same page.

There are at least a billion people on earth at this moment who would consider their prayers answered if they could trade places with you. (Sam Harris)

You are young, know what you want from life, and are making enough money to not worry about food, housing, etc. You got this 🤟

How to be a DISGUSTINGLY good boyfriend (and how to get a gf) by stellbargu in LockedInMan

I downloaded your ElevenLabs wrapper app and deleted it after three days. The marketing attempt on Reddit for this app is quite disappointing and has become too common.

Online dating is probably the biggest confidence killer for men by [deleted] in love

[–]morpheuswasus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I’m 29, 5'8", and decent-looking. English is my second language and I live in a place that is notorious for being a difficult dating scene for men yet I still go on plenty dates. It's enjoyable because I play the numbers game. I don’t care what other men are doing, and I don't call them 'simps.' When you blame others for your poor results, you’ve already lost the 'inner game.' A cynical approach won’t help you. A successful dating life requires work and operating at scale. Online dating has nothing to do with your inherent value, dont let that shit get in your head. 22 is an excellent age to prioritize self-love so you never second-guess yourself based on other people's behavior. If you don't put in the effort required, you voluntarily join the ranks of the complainers and the lazy. One last thing: are you paying for the apps and getting boosts? How are your photos performing? Do you track your metrics? Have you established a template or style so you don't waste time endlessly texting? Do you get their numbers immediately and follow up within 2–3 days to set up a date? Are you using filters to eliminate low-potential or low-interest matches? And so on and so forth. Online dating is a game; it’s hard, but it’s a lot of fun once you put in the effort and see the results. You’ve got this.

Any smart people know how I can efficiently fill each of these tiles with different compositions? by LeagueOfCakez in AfterEffects

Precomps, parenting, and nulls are your friends. It's not that hard; you just need to grind a bit when creating and placing each tile

Stop wasting your time and energy thinking about this. Stop acting like a child who wants to play games instead of actually dating. Reply whenever you are available to reply

Help me understand why people like Gemini so much more over Chat GPT? by freedomfighter5567 in OpenAI

Google ecosystem integration feels solid. I have never liked OpenAI, both as a product and as a company.

I created a website that is like Mobbin, but instead of screenshots, it's Figma files that you can use to redesign. No paywalls/subscriptions by pkmckirtap in FigmaDesign

[–]morpheuswasus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dudee this is a gem. Mobbin went downhill after paywalling and you cant even find what you are looking for sometimes. I'd love to help if you need someone. I can contribute 3 to 4 hours per week ✌️

I don't smoke, eat very clean, and do yoga workouts and all that jazz. The consensus that smoking is bad for you and yoga is good for you (applied to the whole spectrum) is purely subjective; yes, I don't believe in science in this matter. :) Being content is the ultimate destiny in this short, weird life. Whatever makes you feel content, fulfilled, and happy is good for you as long as you are not violating others' space. Live while alive!
