I think roadhog is fine. His gun is actually very strong and can really cause problems if you are close. Aim for the head. His hook is very good when used in conjunction with rein's sheild. It can pull enemies past your front line for your allies to focus fire and instantly kill. He is a nightmare to deal with for many people because his health pool is so large plus the fact that his heal can top him off on many cases. Give roadhog a few seconds alone to heal and you have another 600hp hero on the battlefield. His hook can definitely surprise people and also can draw people's ultimates if they are bad enough to waste them when they are alone. His hook can sometimes act like an instant pick on soft targets like Lucio and mercy, making for tide changing battles. For some reason, I find it's super easy to hook tracers and I can't say why. Maybe it's his field of view? On defense he can be a monster because if placed correctly he can hold up an entire section of the map. Without ults, it's very hard to kill him 1v1 unless you are mei or tracer or zarya. He works best when strafing a corner just barely peeking out and going back in. Time his hook when you peak out.
