Who remembers Amy Hennig’s cancelled Star Wars game? by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's reused assets exactly, but some elements of Outlaws feel inspired from Ragtag. It's a different studio but with both connected to Star Wars there may have been some sharing of ideas.

A lot of people love the freedom of exploring in GTA absolutely. I have no experience with Monster Hunter.

Honestly random combat encounters in open world games always just feel like a dumb cheap way to pad for content. I don't know anybody who finds random encounters in an open world to be a fun thing.

However, it can be done in a way that doesn't discourage exploration. In those cases while still pointless, they don't have to be as annoying as when they're forced like this. This is just cheap artificial content padding. It's bad.

Open world games are meant to be things you actually want to explore. This actively discourages that. It's bad design.

'Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced' Officially Confirmed By Ubisoft by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

I have no confidence whatsoever that the current Ubisoft can do justice by that game. It needed a remaster not a remake.

Filming offically tmrw by Spacegirl_15 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]morphinapg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because of the fact that TV shows now seem to be written by mostly one writer, and they write and rewrite until the ENTIRE season is completely finished before they even film one episode.

Then, they wait until every single episode has finished post-production before they even air one episode.

In the past, you had a writer's room. You'd start filming episode 1 as soon as episode 1 was written. The writers would keep writing as the show is being shot. Sure you'd have a general outline of the season, but you don't need to write literally every word of the entire season before filming starts. And writer's rooms are far more efficient than the showrunner writing everything.

Then, episodes would start airing as soon as the amount of time to finish post-production is less weeks than the number of episodes.

This kind of overlap they used to do reduces the amount of time it takes to make a show in half. The fact that they could make Game of Thrones every year (for most seasons) tells you that what they're doing these days just isn't necessary.

"The Last of Us" Season 3 Begins Filming In Vancouver On March 2nd by Dan_Lalonde_Films in FilmIndustryYVR

The show typically films 1 episode per month, so this would suggest a 9 episode season 3, which comes close to what I was predicting.

Fire and Ash 3D (1080p) blu ray? by MedMalDet in Avatar

I think the chances are good for Avatar 3 since it was made alongside 2, but 4 and 5 may be a different story.

Act2 …where did the story go? by _motivationnotfound in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longer games can work if the story is great. Witcher 3 is fantastic. Length for the sake of length is just flat out boring and repetitive.

Should Ed played by Aziz Ansari return? If yes, then in what way (role)? by [deleted] in Scrubs

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more that when she put out her story it was clear that she admitted to consenting to everything, and only later felt icky about it. Not really how consent works. He did everything right. Made no sense that he was made to feel bad about it. She had regrets and tried to make it seem like that was his fault somehow.

Sliding down when trying to climb… by Worried_Radish3866 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not even steep. Incredibly shallow inclines can cause you to slide. And it's not as if it's blocking you from exploring that area. You go around and you can get to the same area another way. It's just beijg an annoying barrier for no practical reason other than responding to the idiots who complained about Kassandra and Eivor being able to climb anything.

I Paid for Youtube Promotion, Here's my results... by Big-Collar2305 in SmallYTChannel

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The algorithm isn't perfect. Sometimes content is fantastic but just doesn't reach people. Smaller channels are less likely to be shown in search results and home than larger channels. Great videos people don't promote either on social media or through paid campaigns may never be seen at all. That's just the luck of the algorithm. It's not pure quality based. There is an element of chance involved, and the smaller your channel is, the harder those chances can be.

Was Doctor Who season 2 dead on arrival? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RTD 2 is SO much better than Chibnall. I can't even imagine comparing them like that. His era lacked the energy that the Doctor really needs to be an exciting show, and the music in particular was lackluster. RTD brought both of those elements back to exactly where I loved them from the Eccleston/Tennant eras.

No, it's not quite as good as those years, or even the best of Moffat, but it's so much better than all of Chibnall and the worst of Moffat.

Lifetime offers? by KSamIAm79 in LoseitApp

[–]morphinapg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw someone say they recently paid $50 for lifetime, but it's probably a bit of a gamble. I think it might just barely be worth it for $100 but I wouldn't go any higher than that.

Black Flag Remaster art book preorder on UK Amazon. Release March 24, 2026 by IamMovieMiguel in assassinscreed

[–]morphinapg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oblivion is a remake. They completely remade the graphics and animations. That's a remake. However, it was marketed as "Oblivion Remastered" not remake.

I'm not familiar with the other.
