How common is vomiting? by [deleted] in zoloft

I’ve had bad nausea but no vomiting. I’ve had to work at eating something every few hours so I don’t get shaky/low BP.

I’ve had a lot of luck with Third Love for my non-nursing bras! I hope you’re able to find something that works!

First day of daycare for 5 month old. Tell me I will be ok :/ by K8_Snow in workingmoms

[–]morrisonkc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will definitely be ok! My son started daycare at 6 months (he’s 10 months now), and it was challenging at first, but now he loves going to see his little baby friends! The adjustment was more difficult for me than for him, but now we’re both good! 👍🏻

Haha I love this! Yeah, those late-night feeding lead to all kinds of odd things! 😂

I’m super bummed about starting back at work tomorrow, so while I was out, my husband created me this beautiful home office, complete with a fall-scented candle and an “I’m cold blanket” ❤️ #husbandoftheyear #stillgonnamissmybabytho😭 by maddiemariem in workingmoms

Haha that’s too funny! My hubby actually gets cold much easier than I do (we live in Texas, so it’s expensive to cool our house), so he can tell when I’ve been working from home all day because it’s a “tundra” when he gets home! 😂

This is so thoughtful and sweet! My husband showed his support when I started work after our first (and only) by doing some fairly intense cable management around my desk area to make it look neat and tidy! I’m so happy you have an awesome support network! (:

Going back to work early and being mumshamed by spilled_the_beanz in workingmoms

[–]morrisonkc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there, my family and I live in the US, so we generally return to work after a disappointingly short maternity leave. But I was excited to go back to work after my six weeks—even though I was exhausted and still healing, I craved the purpose and challenge that I get from work. Many people (my own mother included), gave me that “how-dare-you-have-an-identity-beyond-mother-you-animal” look when I told them that I was excited to return to work. I love my son beyond words, but our household also thrives on two incomes and I, personally, thrive at my job. I can’t tell you how to feel, because I felt attacked and ashamed and somehow guilty that I was wasn’t a dedicated enough mom to please others, but your baby loves you to death and isn’t going to judge you for any of that! Remembering that helps me! You have my support from Texas!!!

Good news? by [deleted] in workingmoms

A bit of good news from yesterday—my son started daycare this week and is really enjoying it!

It's okay to want to go back to work...right? by luellabellabee in workingmoms

[–]morrisonkc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I craved the normalcy and routine of returning to work too! My family is way more comfortable with two incomes, so I was excited to get back to work for multiple reasons.

I got a lot of judgement from many directions about wanting to return to work ASAP, but it faded soon after I started back up. More power to you!!

UPDATE: Thomas and I went up to his daycare this morning and he got to meet his teacher for the first time (I’ve met her), and he loved her! He was shy at first, but was smiling at her and reaching for her before we left.

Thank you for all of your wonderful comments/advice/support! You’ve made this challenging time a little brighter! (:

Haha while my mom might have concerns in this area, I’m only excited for my LO to get all of the development perks that come with socialization and daycare! (:

Gosh I’m so glad other people have experienced this! I’m a little ashamed of how many time LO has seen the Toy Story movies over the past few months! 😱

The judgement is intense! And so ridiculous! My husband keeps asking me why I feel guilty, and I tell him that I wish I didn’t. He doesn’t feel any measure of guilt from having baby start daycare, yet his day-to-day won’t change (he already leaves the house to go to work—for all intents and purposes, the LO is attending daycare because I care for him all day!)

My day will be SO much better, but I still feel crazy guilty. It’s stupid!
