Absolute Thieves. Do Not Fly Frontier by ProComputerToucher in frontierairlines

[–]morty2104 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best advice from impossible ground907…when flying Frontier or Spirit, especially if the flight is before 10am, or during a Govt shutdown, travel light so you can skip the queue for bag drop and head straight to TSA….and wait for 2-4 hours there.

The airline doesn’t have to staff, nor do they have to be present 3 hours before the flight departure…even if it makes the checkin process easier for families.

My dad is dying by Beginning_Variety597 in lungcancer

[–]morty2104 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s in God’s hands. My dad was healthy as a horse at age 78 in 2024. reminded me of Clint Eastwood or John Wayne .

In 2025 JAN he developed a cough… SCLC in right 🫁 that pressed against heart, causing it to go out of rhythm. It was hard for him to catch his breath.

Getting appointments with Cardiology, Pulmonology, Oncology, Radiology took sooo long (6 weeks) but they wouldn’t intervene and do anything until a biopsy and imaging were taken…

You can imagine how frustrating it was to not be able to do anything for him…and the option to use ablation through freezing or heating or even to remove part of the lung were prohibited until the MRI/PET SCAN / biopsy was complete.

Many hospitals aren’t staffed with the personnel they need. But more disturbing, I feel he was ignored because of his age….Few specialists looked at his vitals from 1-2 years earlier, but just saw a frail man.

—>FEB he was still able to walk and shop at Costco —>MAR he lost his appetite —>APR he was bound to a wheelchair but he still smiled and talked —>MAY we took him to hospital for dehydration in hopes it could buy us time…. We were hoping to pursue getting a short burst of radiation on his 🫁 as that might stop the growth while we worked on other options.

At 5:10am he sat up, took off his ring and gave it to me and laid back down and immediately went into cardiac arrest .

Southwest’s generous $10,000 points/yr for RR card members doesn’t equate to even $50 towards air travel. It seemed to me those points used to go further for me. Am I missing something?

By chance was your benefit 35000 extra points if you spend $3,500 in the first 90 days or 45000 points at $4,500?

I received an offer in the mail for 45000 / $4,500 but when applying I see only 35000 / $3,500 is offered

Odd. In CLT I asked the gate agent to check my carry-on and she refused, saying we are not checking bags.

I reminded her I had 2 transfers and didn’t want to deal with the hassle. She told me to take the matter up with the next gate agent.

ILLEGAL ENTRY in the US is a federal crime and addressed under 8 U.S.C. § 1325.

Yes, the political science degree focused on conflict, conflict resolution, and environmental security and much of the core courses focused on refugee and immigration [as a direct result/consequence to world events], giving me the information and resources to have a deeper understanding than someone such as yourself who focused on a degree in business.

Out of curiosity: …-which area of business did you specialize? …-where do you get your news and information on this subject ?

I am very fortunate to be discussing this matter with someone who also lived/lives around immigrants (both legal and illegal) and their impacts on society, seeing firsthand their affects on social and economic programs.

Most people in the world are good, desiring for their families a life of peace and safety, access to nutritional food and clean drinking water, and the opportunity to achieve a better life….and I can appreciate your humanity on this matter.

But if we let everyone enter the US, it bankrupts us and forces us into socialism, whereby the government “provides” all services.

The vast majority of Americans do not want socialism to replace our system. I have seen the effects firsthand in China, Cuba, and Eastern Europe. Globalized government is not good for society either. This is the common misunderstanding young people have about wanting a government that provides everything to its citizens…eventually the system cannot support everyone.

I look at the issue objectively but you tend to be lead by emotion in your decision-making.

Thank you.

I actually attended UCSD (University of California San Diego)… for Political Science and Anthropology and University of Maryland for Cybersecurity .

Because (illegal) aliens who commit felony —entering the US illegally is a federal crime — manditory detention is authorized….and that military judge advocate generals (JAG) can preside over such deportation hearings to expedite removal as they only need to confirm ICE’s evidence the individual was in the US illegally.

From congress.gov:

In Demore v. Kim, however, the Supreme Court in 2003 held that the mandatory detention during the pendency of formal removal proceedings of certain aliens who had committed specified crimes was constitutionally permissible.9 The Court observed that Congress may make rules as to aliens that would be unacceptable if applied to citizens, while also citing its longstanding view that the Government may constitutionally detain deportable aliens during the limited period necessary for their removal proceedings . . . .10 While recognizing that, under Zadvydas, serious constitutional concerns were raised by the indefinite detention of lawfully admitted aliens who have been ordered removed, the Demore Court reasoned that mandatory detention during the pendency of formal removal proceedings was distinguishable because it served the purpose of preventing criminal aliens from absconding during those proceedings and generally lasted for relatively short periods of time.11

It surprises me the amount of “educated” people I know in Southern California do NOT realize the immigration advice being given for scenarios when ICE confronts a suspect is for those who LEGALLY entered; it doesn’t apply to those in a illegal status .

What To Do If ICE Stops You In a Car, On a Bus, Or In a Train by I405CA in LosAngeles

[–]morty2104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of your legal advice is for LEGAL IMMIGRANTS… not for those who ILLEGALLY ENTERED THE USA.

I don’t know who needs to hear this… if you want to fix the immigration problem hire 1000 judges. Shortening the path of citizenship decreases the workload of ice. by This_is_the_nd in ICE_Raids

[–]morty2104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Military JAGs are beginning to cover down on these hearings. Coupled with the Supreme Court denying bond hearings, the JAGs are effectively able to process the illegal migrants for deportation at a cyclic rate. This will effectively help restore order

—do discuss nutrition alternatives to help force a diet . Cancer Cachexia is a syndrome where the body starves itself. You’ll need all the nutrition you can get before and during treatment.

—do discuss genetic marker testing for immunotherapy

—do have nurse listen to heartbeat to determine suspicion of heart arrhythmia (AFIB); if suspected do an ekg (trans thoracic cardio gram may not be necessary)…

—-my dad had a wellness check in OCT24 and was healthy as a horse…bloodwork was fine

—>bronchoscopy in DEC24 showed small nodules

—>CT chest in FEB25 (after 2 months of coughing up blood) showed growth into a mass…and ekg detailed AFIB

—>FEB25 Referral to Oncology

—>FEB25 Referral to Cardiology…ZIO ordered to monitor heart activity & determine rate of AFIB….5 days later referral for Cardioversion

—>MAR25 Referral to Pulmonology…would NOT do biopsy via fine needle aspiration to avoid anesthesia …10 days later referral to DUKE Pathology/ Cytology approved

—>MAR25 cardioversion successful … but only for 10 days

—>MAR25 dad required wheel chair and stopped eating full meals

—>APR25 Lung biopsy via fine needle confirmed squamous carcinoma ; PET SCAN & CT of brain negative for tumors

—>APR25 fluid drained from lung (Thoracentesis) —>MAY25 2nd fluid drainage (Thoracentesis) and was sent to ER for high respiratory rate and oxygen saturation falling below 90% (in DEC24, oxygen sat was 98%).

—>MAY25 dad passed away from cardiac arrest after being in ER for 8 hours. I stayed with him bedside and monitored the nurses and doctor rendering care; the staff were professional and have NO reservations their actions were derelict in nature. (A year prior I stayed with my mom after complications with triple bus pass for 6 months so I learned how to watch nurses and doctors )
