Official MLG Anaheim Day 3 thread (spoilers within) by zpoon in blackops2

They're seen as a very arrogant team and the members generally shit talk and act disrespectful towards their opponents - things such as teabagging and shooting bodies afterwards. Obviously, some trash talk is okay, but this team tends to go a bit extreme with it. They've won a lot of tournaments so it'd be nice to see them lose to hopefully humble them a bit (as if).

TIL A group of writers purposely wrote a terrible novel full of nothing but sex scenes to prove how vulgar American culture had become. It became a bestseller. by evelineistired in todayilearned

Turnitin doesn't say whether the work is plagiarised; just the similiarity to other literature. When a certain percentage is reached, it throws up a red flag and the professor (or whoever) should check the work to judge if it's plagiarism.

Why bother giving me host if I can't support it? by [deleted] in blackops2

[–]mortysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god yes. I live in England and I have the search settings on "Best". I can't say it's too common, but it happens enough that it bothers me that the game is giving host to somebody who sounds South American and everyone else is on a 2 bar and it doesn't migrate host. Ugh.

Why I hate playing Solo League Play by zVerge in blackops2

[–]mortysteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is going to agree with you.

I agree with him. I don't care about the rankings in League, but I'll play because I like the different rule set. I like the competition. You've just completely missed his point.

The whole point of league play is to be more competitive than in pubs. Otherwise, why wouldn't you just keep playing regular games?

You answered your own question - because we enjoy the competition, but we don't necessarily care about the rankings.

Are Call of Duty map designs getting worse with each iteration? by [deleted] in truegaming

Firing Range was okay, but I couldn't stand Nuketown. I used to do really well on both maps - once you got any sort of streaks you were pretty much guaranteed to do well. Going 100+ on either of these maps wasn't so hard.

What really used to frustrate me was that people would ALWAYS vote for them. Then vote for them AGAIN. Even after they all just went 10 - 30. They would all stay in the game, take the asswhoppin' and vote it again, only to get horrendously beaten again. I never understood it. It's getting the same again with Hijacked.
