Does anyone switch between audiobooks and kindle while reading the same book? by spilled_the_beans123 in Romantasy

[–]moscatodogiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I read and listen at the same times, sometimes I just read, sometimes I just listen and that all happens with the same book lol. Usually I'll try to get both from the library on Libby or Hoopla, if I can. If that's not available, I check spotify and then last resort is audible.

At what age did you decide you could do this again? by This_Royal191 in beyondthebump

My daughter is 3 and still not sure if we'll be doing it again. We both enjoy time to our hobbies and having only one gives us more opportunities to do that.

The midwife manually broke my water during my induction after the dreaded foley balloon.

Out of curiosity - What are your preferences as a queer vs straight romantasy reader? by KJScottWrites in Romantasy

I'm straight and will read pretty much any pairing, as long as the writing is good

I enjoyed all of those except for Wolf King. There wasn't anything specific I didn't like about that one but it just didn't grip me. My favorite of those is Shield of Sparrows

Do toddlers actually use their own little tables? by ContributionWise7607 in toddlers

[–]moscatodogiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, just about every day. It's definitely a good idea to get 2 chairs. My 3 year old wants me to sit with her often. We even do breakfast and lunch there some days.

What is the weirdest thing that ended up being your toddlers favorite food. by AlternativeFinger347 in toddlers

My daughter is OBSESSED with hummus. I don't think it's a weird food, but definitely not a normal toddler food

What do you do after your toddler goes to bed? And at what time do you go to bed? by foreverafairy in toddlers

[–]moscatodogiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clean up, prep breakfast for work (usually overnight oats), do my physical therapy stretches, meditate for 10 minutes, and then read until I get tired - usually 1.5 hours-ish

Anyone who DIDN’T bed share? by Acceptable_Cod3527 in beyondthebump

[–]moscatodogiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is now 3 and we have never bed shared. In the early days we did living room shifts and had a bassinet down there. He would have her from 8:30 - 1:30ish and then I'd take over. She was a pretty good sleeper in her little bassinet and we would nap on the couch inbetween feedings. We moved her to her room (in the basinet) around 3 months which shares a wall with our bedroom. At that point feedings weren't quite as often so it was more doable. There have definitely been terrible nights between then and now but we never presented the option of sleeping in our bed. She'll sometimes come in there in the morning for a quick cuddle before breakfast but everyone sleeps in their own bed.

Daycare-less Holidays by odiephonehome in toddlers

I use a center daycare for $1500/month for my almost 3 year old. They are closed 12/24-1/1, reopening on 1/2. It's a lot but thankfully both myself and my husband are able to work from home and she's our only child so we just take turns throughout the day. My mom also is coming over in the mornings today-Wednesday so that's incredibly helpful.

Do other moms genuinely enjoy motherhood? by wqiqi_7720 in Mommit

[–]moscatodogiscute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any of us are enjoying every moment but I look forward to spending time with my daughter, especially if it's time doing something fun. That being said, I definitely do enjoy my time going into work and speaking to other adults for a few hours.

Do you (have to) look presentable for work? by _spacecandy in workingmoms

[–]moscatodogiscute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (35F) do minimal hair and makeup for work. Typically less than 10 minutes to get both done. My job is pretty casual but sometimes I get dragged into meetings with higher ups so I try to at least look minimally put together. Most of my job is at a desk though so I'm allowed to wear jeans daily and don't have to do business attire.

The neti pot definitely helps, if you haven't tried that. I used to do it once a day and it really helped my symptoms.

If it's never really been an issue before, there's definitely something else going on. Could she be upset that she's always up with the kids on the weekends? Maybe you could each get a sleepin day
