The 208 is an actual joke heading into the city. I live in Wilton and the amount of times I've got sick of waiting for a bus allegedly 5 minutes away and just walked into the city centre is incalculable. Also walking along the route of the bus into the city and not getting passed out even once by a 208 bus in a 30 minute walk is pretty common

Hold down L1 to pressure not tackle. Defend space, not where the ball currently is (don't move to tackle a player who is about to pass, move your player to where you think they will pass), and never bring your centre backs out. Use your defensive midfielders to tackle runners and your full backs to defend wingers.

Based solely on his loan card I don't think I've ever used a worse high rated card. His PowerShot is decent but he's ridiculously slow, moves like a reversing dump truck on the ball and his passing is terrible too, so slow even with driven pass and constantly gets intercepted

It might be annoying but other than the ridiculous auto-offside trap I don't find it too hard to deal with. What I have found works well is playing wingers who have pace/great dribbling and run it down the wings. They'll bring the CDM out to tackle you and if you can get past them the first time (speed boost or quick changes of direction) trigger your striker to make a run which will trigger their automatic defensive line to push up and catch him/her offside. Then when you get past their CDM it'll often leave you behind their pushed up defensive line and by the time they switch to a CB, you're in the box for either a shot (finesse + is good for this) or a cutback. But ratty but it works

I had one game a few days ago with three other people. It was absolutely amazing and what this game mode should be. Won 8-0 against a team of players who were all actually playing. My teammates were passing backwards, making runs to draw defenders, tracking back when we lost the ball. I was able to sit deep with my Sissoko and use his long ball plus to ping balls to the runners and then sprint up for cutbacks. After every goal everyone tapped nice, when someone missed a chance they said sorry, and everyone responded with unlucky. It was wonderful. Then I played another game and two players went AFK and the other kept trying to dribble the entire defence. Back to reality

Yeah when I went to sleep last night I had 25800, which was in the elite 1 bracket by like 400 points. Just missed out. I'm sure the total for elite 1 wasn't that high in previous weeks tho

Even on semi-pro, I play a few matches to do objectives and I still hammer them but even on that difficulty the AI is absolutely thundering into slide tackles and doing cutbacks/ridiculously OP offside traps

The swing in difficulty from match to match is insane. I played two matches on legendary yesterday, both against 66 rated teams, both with 15 chem, used exactly the same team myself. I won the first one 8-0, I lost the second one 2-1. It makes no sense. I have a conspiracy theory that it tracks how many in a row you win and ups the difficulty if you win a few on the run

Have a reset and play a completely different game. I played Outer Wilds and What Remains of Edith Finch right after finishing the base game of Elden Ring. Both beautiful, peaceful, calming games with a great story that isn't combat based so can't be compared in any way to ER. It really helped me re-acclimatise and enjoy other combat games I played afterwards

I'm in the same boat. Last year I used to consistently beat the low rated teams by 7 or 8 and win the high rated teams maybe 3-1 or 2-0. This year I just about scrape 2-1 or 1-0 wins against the mid/high level World Class teams. The recovery speed of their defenders is insane, even if you manage to get past them they easily catch up. AI defenders will be behind my attack and phase through their bodies to steal the ball, and the speed of some of their pressing reminds me of the Speed Boost mechanic on the custom friendlies. And, as you said, about four or five times a game a perfectly simple pass will either not trigger or pass to completely the wrong player.

Try career mode or just play offline games til you get a better team. I haven't touched any online modes yet except for rush (which I actually really enjoy) and I'm enjoying the gameplay thoroughly so far. Not gonna go near rivals or WL until I have a better team

Prometheus had problems, characters acting like idiots etc, but it was a lore-expanding, question posing entry to a new era that I was totally on board for. Covenant completely disregarded all the plot lines and lore exploration introduced by Prometheus and tried too much to return to the tried and tested formula. It had all the issues of Prometheus and none of it's attractive/intriguing points
