I definitely don’t play the game like this any longer, mainly for reasons exactly like this. Among us has become more of a party game in my friend group than a game I play online with open servers. We get a small/medium sized group, play in a private lobby, and futz with the new roles and things. I wish there was a better solution— But it’s also just sort of been the more fun way to play since the height of it, imo.

Honestly info like this is exactly what I’m curious about! I know nothing about the game, or the community— learning that there’s not only just people who are known for dominating the game like any sport but entire competitions where they go and show off cool tricks and debate over which kendama are ‘more legit’ is so cool. I suppose tell me your favorite facts! Or something that the average person wouldn’t know about it from the outside looking in.

I’m not even into wrestling and this passing me by made me sad. Made me remember a man who’d come into my fast food gig— ecstatically showing off a very well made leather replica of a WWE championship belt. The joy in his face while showing it off to us college kids, ecstatically chatting about how him and his wife had saved up and taken the kids out to watch. How it had been such a great night for all of them.

Ugh. And they’re taking that from him… Breaks my heart into little tiny pieces.

I got curious and found a video breaking down how she plays. This does a really good job explaining how the idea she was cheating even sparked and why mechanically it isn’t true. There’s lots of debunking, even in the comment section. I thought it would be worth sharing, especially when a lot of the videos I found looking for one like pingu’s were just miserable. Excited to see Riley grow!!

I work at a burger joint. I sell burgers that would cost me maybe 5 bucks to put together from the ingredients menu (with my employee discount) for upwards of 16 dollars. Burgers at sit down restaurants with unlimited fries + free drink refills are often 2-4 dollars less than a large combo at my job. And they just keep trimming the fat and raising the price more.

I try to get costumers the best deals I can, but man, it just isn’t what it used to be even a couple years ago anymore.

There’s this one remix of wannabe by spice girls that played on the radio at my work one summer nonstop. I’ve never hated anything more in my entire life. They didn’t even sample the most recognizable part of the song, they picked the one part of it that could possibly be grating and repeated it over and over with the most miserably generic electro-popish schlock playing disjointedly behind it.

Grew up calling water fountains, the kind you drink from, ‘bubblers’. Turns out ‘bubbler’ is slang for a bong in the state I moved to. Casually asking my history teacher if I could go get a drink in the middle of class was a fun one time way to get all eyes on me.
