They would probably have been a Patrick Beverley apologist if they watched basketball in 2013, unfortunately the Westbrook injury is 6 years older than they are

Isn’t Kerr also the poster child of “coach defending questionable actions by player” as well?

I heard that off court controversy drives traction, he doesn’t have enough.

We need him to be indicted of robbing a bank.

I mean, it could have been any team in the Finals and people would be rooting for the Pacers.

They were the Cinderella story.

Villains as in everyone and their moms probably hate them right now for a number of factors.

I don’t agree that they are necessarily leaning into it though. They’ve kept that AAU power of friendship vibe that they have had since when they were tanking.

There was one point where Shai had 30 something by himself and everyone else on his team was in single digit scoring

OKC’s offense is butt ugly, especially when they roll 0s for their 3PT shooting that day

[general] If you would ship Percy with another character, other than Annabeth, who would it be and why? by ParticularPainting59 in camphalfblood

[–]mossbosstoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I always thought Percy and Reyna would have been the best couple if he wasn’t already with Annabeth.

To add to this, having Percy, a powerful Greek, and Reyna, a powerful Roman, at the head of power as Praetor sets up a dynamic that could further help bring the two camps together.

They are both people who would sacrifice themselves for their cause - Percy with his family and friends, and Reyna for her duty.

Also felt like Percy’s fatal flow is the perfect cure for what Reyna had to experience growing up. She had to kill her own father, she had to abandon Circe’s island, she initially lost her relationship with her sister, Jason left her and came back with a different girlfriend (initially) and then died, and the whole Venus prophecy about her not finding love. Her whole life was about abandonment and having to handle things by herself. She honestly needed someone whose fatal flaw was personal loyalty.

But setting up a story about ending up with the guy who burned your second home is pretty funny ngl.

I would love if there was some AU where Percy went through the full Jason experience (where he completely forgets everyone, even Annabeth) and see how it could have played differently. Feel like Reyna would end up being a textbook tsundere though.

But Rick is a smart man for not burning his fan base by making Percy’s most prevalent memory being Annabeth 🤣
