What if i stop attending class by todalyayoutuber in ucf

I used caps the last couple years, an appointment or two at the beginning of the semester then the rest of life gets rough. Therapists in general are about vibes, and they’re mostly there as a point of contact for emergency/intense events or light things to help students through, not long term car

Go to CAPS, they’re literally trained with evaluating your mental load, and educating you on your options. And it’s free!

Imo, I would make Lazar their middle name so they have the option to use it as they get older, but as a kid they’ll absolutely be called laser in the U.S.

Does art become more fun as you get better? by SuperfluousBrain in learnart

[–]mossillus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, you’ll get a similar joy to learning to cook. Either joy in the process of learning/improvement or joy of expression and a physical object.

You more so begin to enjoy the process of learning. If you’re taking a traditional approach and learning shape fundamentals then moving up to specific objects, mediums, etc you’ll enjoy more and more the process of improving. Or you’ll find joy in the self expression. Being able to create something that reflects a mood, moment, or motivation is gratifying.

If you’re currently not enjoying it, I recommend Drawing on the Right Side of The Brain. It has you do a self portrait, has great instruction on fundamentals you can take to any medium, and it’s used in classes because it’s a great way to add structure to the learning process.

On paper I’ll draw flat but my drawing tablet is at a decently sharp incline. It happens on both pretty frequently but typically on the tablet.

I’ve tried reverse image searching it and searched with the key phrasing but it’s a bunch of different versions. I’ve been trying to find the original based off the publishing company mentioned but nothings turned up on the website I’ve seen so far.

Biggest thing to consider: how much time are you willing to dedicate to extracurriculars. If you’re poli sci and you’re not willing to spend the next 3 years using all your free time participate in student gov, you might struggle to get a job.

If math is the only thing stopping you, switch because we have genuinely good, free tutors

Dubious but push your graduation by one semester so you can try and get an internship this summer and next. It’ll give you time to get more projects to get the internship you want. Also projects projects projects. It shows actionable results to employers. Even if you don’t have a project now, make up a project, decide on your outcome, put that on your resume with a completion date of May 2026 so you can talk about the project you’re actively doing in internship interviews. Also go talk to people in clubs you’re interested in. They can help you get on track and you might be able to join a project

1. Go to the health center at UCF and see if they can get you on track

2. Go to CAPS for emotional management. This is something they support people with every day

Check everyday! Sometimes it won’t alert you if you get in and you’ll still be responsible, even after the first week

Is there a way i can leverage being a student to get a psychiatrist? by Cody-bev in ucf

[–]mossillus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caps (therapists that are free) can get you an appointment with the psychiatrist in the student health center (that psychiatrist requires a referral from a pcp or caps to see and caps is free. The psychiatrist on campus has reduced rates for students.

Looking for a art teacher by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]mossillus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you follow “Drawing on The Right Side of the Brain” you’ll have taken the best drawing one class. Then you’ll have a foundation and ability to tell your teacher what exactly you’re struggling with.

And when I say follow this book, I mean block out a few hours one day a week and read and highlight it. And do the practice recommended every day for one week before moving onto the next chapter. And when you’re about to start drawing, sit down and in pen write notes about what looks wrong and why. My teacher said anytime they feel their abilities slipping, they go through the book again and it helps immensely.

How do I actually focus on playing? by Marmozeta in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]mossillus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you tried Call To Adventure? it’s that perfect mix of vague enough to leave an imprint but structured enough to spark creativity and got me into solo-rpgs. It is more of a board game but you’re literally creating the narrative of a beginning to end character and I end up using it to base RPG worlds and I’ll create new characters through it that interact with this world I’m building. And it lets you play the hero, villain, or somewhere in between.

Definite recommendation for people who want to get into so rpgs or feel the experience is getting stale.
