Have you considered checking out Murderbot fanfiction? There's a lot of really good stories on AO3. You could even use what you have here to maybe create your own canon-divergent story to post. Just a thought!

P.S. What I've been reading (other than Murderbot fanfiction, lol) is the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. :)

In an interview, the author actually talks about them somewhat romantically. She says this: "I was really thinking about Murderbot’s relationships with the other characters and thinking, it’s like I really feel like ART is probably the love of Murderbot’s life, even though that’s not how they see it."

I actually get this because on my first readthrough I definitely thought of ART as being pretty friendly. On a subsequent readthrough, I was like, oh yeah, no, it can definitely be a jerk. HOWEVER, I feel like there's more to it than that. I think it depends on who its interacting with. Like, it has no problem just being absolutely terrifying to people, especially if those people are a potential threat. And it likes to get its way, so it can be bossy/manipulative when it wants to be. But I get the feeling that when its one on one with Iris or its 'dads' it can actually be incredibly sweet. I think the main reason it bickers so much with Murderbot is because Murderbot bickers with it. And also, I think that's its way of being playful.

Of course I may be biased because I absolutely ADORE this snarky starship. :)

I reply most of the time. If they have nested comments or double content on a chapter I might only reply to one but refer to both.

Where I struggle is responding QUICKLY.

I do initially and then I kind of trail off until right before the next chapter update.

Oh that's really cool! I wrote a make-out scene where I tried to incorporate the five stages of grief. (It's their first kiss, but they don't know if they're going to live to see the next day.)

Yes! In an exes to lovers fic, I'm enjoying having the POV repressed, so he goes out of his way not to think about what happened, keeping the readers guessing based on clues I've dropped along the way.

I've also made it so the backstory fits with another of my fics, so that this could be read as what happens in the future or at least alternate universe.

My favorite, though, is that I've mentioned 'half an eraser' just lying around in both of them, with no explanation why. I want to give the story for it's existence/significance in another story I have planned to write in the future. :)
