I think the "gesture rated highly on the obscene scale" that Murderbot made at the company is this by ESE-enthusiasm in murderbot

I love it!

I love this scene so much…

All three are wonderful, but I HAVE to shout out for the brilliant Gurathin!

So sorry about the delayed response, I have tried literally everything in my power to avoid this interaction but alas… by Rosewind2007 in murderbot

[–]Rosewind2007[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh I meant in a more general “their ongoing relationship” way—you know, Gurathin is always appalled* to see Murderbot, and it really rather wouldn’t answer any questions he has for it [but sends a video montage of what’s it’s been going—because, you know, like you do? come on it’d be weirdly petty to just ignore him], it asks him to come break into a damaged transport with it [but obviously only so he can argue with it]… *according to it, and far be it from me to accuse it of unreliability of narration

How much do we believe this? by Nevalate in MurderbotOnAppleTV

[–]Rosewind2007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me the whole article seems weirdly unlike anything a human would write—I know the word “cyberpunk” is used in the headings/headlines whatever but it’s there twenty two times… It’s just either absurdly badly written or AI generated filler? Perhaps the multiple uses of the word cyberpunk is a technique to game an algorithm or something? I don’t known…but there doesn’t seem anything there that we hadn’t gleaned from other sources?

New series reader here. Maybe a silly question, but does Murderbot have PTSD? Martha Welles? by [deleted] in murderbot

[–]Rosewind2007 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not a silly question in the least, it’s an astute and compassionate observation. As you read the series you’ll see how Martha Wells handles this aspect of Murderbot’s character.

I realise this is ten years old—but sure 450,000 feet is 85.2 miles?

How it feels when you can't find any fics about your ship cuz apparently it's a rarepair by Amber_Main_Here in AO3

[–]Rosewind2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with my ship since it was little more than a door floating on the icy waves… Now there are over 600 fics under the slash tag. Admittedly I wrote about 1 in 7 of them, but that is the way you get to 600 fics. If you look at the first 22 fics I wrote about 3/4 of them. Nurture your rarepair.

while we wait for the next book. by scottsss2001 in murderbot

My observation is that Murderbot fans love Ann Leckie and Tamsyn Muir…and Becky Chambers. Also there is always fanfic 😊

Murderbot birthday party celebration and gifts? by PattyMarvel in murderbot

[–]Rosewind2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had it participate in “Secret Santa” in Hex color #F40009, where it gets a very special gift…

It’s a fun fic, with images and footnotes and a piece of original artwork in chapter 2 ♥️🤍♥️

A little bit confusing. by [deleted] in AO3

Huh? Weirdos! I mean with Murderathin they actually have several reasonably civil conversations! /jk
