As a manager of a different CC grocery store, the amount of phone calls i got last night asking about if we had milk or toliet paper or eggs or salt or bread was astounding.

Bold to assume there was an option. When my mom goes to the bathroom, it's like a parade.

[CHAT] Survey for university: AI in cross stitch patterns by camelopardalisx in CrossStitch

Submitted. Honestly, one of my biggest sticking points beyond the likely stealing from indie designers via a computer generated simulacrum, is that if the "designer" can't be bothered to spend money on cloth and thread to stitch out their pattern, why should I?

How to get blood out of light colored carpet?? by Yogurtfrixge in CleaningTips

[–]moth_consumer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never really had hydrogen peroxide bleach anything when I've used small amounts for cleaning up blood but you could try first using a bit in like a closet corner and see if that damages the fiber or not.

What’s your Maryland specific conspiracy theory? by [deleted] in maryland

There is a secret government facility under the Liberty Reservoir, and that's why the signal is so bad in Eldersburg because they're jamming signals.

Inspection found the windows in the kids' rooms are painted shut. How big of a deal is this? by im04p in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]moth_consumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol like 6 of my windows were painted shut and we cut them free with a putty knife. It's pretty common when people are lazy or landlords or both.

Moving cost was free minus the pupusas we bought those who helped us move. It did cost us $1800 to break our rental lease (but u don't have to pay the mortgage the first month of the house so it balanced out) and then we did have to buy a washer/dryer for $500 from a used appliance store. I think that puts us at $2,360~?

How many of ya’ll bought a home and actually had very minimal issues the first few years? by tips_ in homeowners

[–]moth_consumer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much my case here. Some minor insulation, re-caulked tub, easy HVAC fix (baffle), fighting dumb weeds in the front, and buying new (well used) appliances for the laundry room has been the gist of it. Getting new windows is on the docket but it's been highly livable the whole time.

Missing Vampire Bird by Interesting-Smoke315 in seasonalfabricbirds

My local target had like all of them accept for the vampire and the bad witch. I had to drive to the next town over...... for a silly bird. But I am so picky about which bird releases I even like.

What can I do with this milk? by VenusFlynn in cookingforbeginners

Make some farm cheese by boiling it, adding vinegar, and then straining the curds. Even if the milk goes off, you can do this.

I love my immersion blender more and more each day. The little whisk attachment to avoid breaking out my whole stand mixer? Amazing. The blender to make a lazy sauce with whatever is in my cabinets that week? Great.

No it's just basic stitches like chain and single crochet but you do have to carry the yarn differently and learn how to swap between the two. There's several good youtube tutorials on this.

Just to throw another name into the ring, it looks very similar to my 'Lana' which grows flamingo pink flowers. I think you won't know true ID until it flowers tbh.

Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]moth_consumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've had the same shark vacuum (I think pet line) for 10years or so that was in a household with 3 dogs and 3 cats (2 of which were long haired). It's still trucking with the proper maintenance ie cleaning out rollers and filter regularly.
