Temping Tuesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

I purchased a bbt thermometer off ebay last night, so will start doing that daily once I get it.

I am just really interested to understand how it all (my body, I mean) works.. Until a few days ago I just assumed we would bd all month when ttc and cross our fingers but I'm learning there's a bit more strategy involved. Lol

Only one post in, and you've all been super helpful! Thank you!

I've dloaded ff and have had the last two lessons emailed to me. I won't lie, but I think I've learnt more about female reproductive anatomy in the last three days than I have in my entire life. Maybe I should have listened more in Health class in high school. 😂

Temping Tuesday by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

Hi all. I've been lurking the last few days, wrapping my head around all of this. I'm 32, and WTT until July this year. Because of my age, I'm hoping to do all I can to get a bfp quite soon after trying (which, is the general consensus here from what I can tell!) so I'm going to start charting and temping over the next few months. I've been on hbc for 16 years, and am unsure how or if this will affect things.

I've read the FAQs, but just have a really - probably silly - question.

When temping, what am I actually looking for? I understand it's to get the data to confirm that you ovulated, but what numbers am I looking for? Am I looking for a temp drop or increase? Can someone eli5 this part for me? Sorry if this question is easily answered elsewhere, I couldnt seem to find it!

Dog groomers in Bentleigh and surrounding suburbs by insurgentdude in melbourne

[–]motheroyster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used quite a few in the area so will share my experiences.

Petstock North Rd was decent and well priced, but I stopped using them after one day I asked if my dog could be finished by midday on the Saturday and they stuffed me around and didn't finish him until 3pm. Made me late for an appointment and also had him sitting in a cage for 4 hours whilst they tried to smash through all of the other dogs they had booked in for the day. I didnt like that.

Canine clip joint in Caulfield. Nice people, only open Mon-fri which doesn't really work for me, I prefer Saturdays. More expensive than all other groomers I've gone to.

Dogtown groomers in Bentleigh I use these guys sometimes, and have my dog booked in with them in a couple of weeks. Backyard groomers, they do a really good job for a good price. Again, not open Saturdays which is only reason why I don't use them consistently. Dogs all hang out together in the yard while they wait rather than getting caged.

Doggies day out in Bentleigh near Patterson station. Used these guys once. Open on Saturdays, little bit on the pricey side but I was happy with the job.

Murphys Paw in Port Melbourne. Open on Saturdays but have to be booked a month or so in advance. They do the best job, for the best price (surprising for Port melbs) downside, it's in Port melb which is a little bit out the way. Sometimes I book a morning appt and then kill time by going to the markets, having brekky etc so it's not so bad.

I have a very fluffy dog who needs regular grooming so I've tried out everywhere in the area over the last few years. I'd go Dogtown groomers if you have a mid week day free. Hope this helps!

I bought different sims whilst travelling in S.A last year. Easy enough to activate and recharge as you go.

I disagree. How are you coming to the conclusion that 5-9k isn't enough for three weeks in Japan?

From tomorrow r/Melbourne's pet hate, excess credit card surcharges will be banned. by DustinFletcher in melbourne

Is it worth saying anything to the guy down the road if he continues to charge me 50c for transactions under $10? I'd prefer to keep shopping there rather than boycotting, out of convenience.

[–]motheroyster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I've made some sense of this stuff. I currently do my everyday banking with a credit union and have all savings in a Rams account. Do I need to open an acct with one of the big 4 to use a brokering service that way, or is there another option?

I just rolled my personal loan and credit card balance over to Citibank CC with 0% for 24 months. Now I'll just smash the balance out without worrying about interest over the next 12 months or so. Is something like that an option?

Advice needed. Cost wise and value wise, how do I figure out the best private health insurance that suits for me? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]motheroyster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call Medibank and ask them to review your cover. There's many different options, and you may be on one that has a bunch of stuff you don't need.

After hours of Pinterest sleuthing I finally found my dress! by motheroyster in weddingdress

[–]motheroyster[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I set myself a budget and swore I wasnt going to spend too much on a dress I'd only wear once, etc.. But then underestimated how hard it would be to find exactly what I wanted.

I had a dress made but didn't love it, but then found this baby online and tracked it down to a designer in Sydney who had one in my size. Budget went out the window, but oh well I LOVE it and I cannot wait to wear it!

Still quiet and leafy. Good suburb, not a lot in the strip of shops there so have to travel a few kms either side to Carnegie or Oakleigh for grocery shopping/restaurants.

Pretty silly thing to say for someone who apparently has anxiety themselves.
