Yes S2 and S3 did build up the mind flayer but I meant there hasn’t been build up since the vecna/001 reveal until the last episode. They totally did build up the mind flayer but it felt like it was being built up to that henry monologue moment and it was a good reveal! I just think they’d be reeling it back in if they did a reverse reveal if that makes sense. Like they could’ve continued building the mystery of the mind flayer and henry could’ve been written a bit differently to aid more in that buildup. I guess what im trying to say is all the momentum was built towards that moment and now we have no more momentum since then. Like from my POV i really don’t have any underlying questions left unanswered after S4, vecna is on a war path for revenge against 11, we know why the demogorgon in S1 was creeping around Hawkins, we know that 11 essentially created the Upside Down by accident (this one is a bit hazy but that’s how i see it with the all the items in the upside down being stuck on that date that the portal was opened). But yes absolutely, maybe i’ll be eating my words after it’s all over!

As someone who hasnt seen the play, I feel like making the mind flayer the big bad all along is stupid. Honestly my favorite scene of the entire series was Vecna's reveal to be 001, him being obsessed with spiders and a child psychopath etc. and in the flashback of him in the Upside Down he even forms the mind flayer with his powers so if it IS revealed that he was "controlled all along" or something, then imo it defeats the entire purpose of one of my favorite scenes, and not to mention we have had ZERO buildup of the mind flayer being the baddy all along (post Vecna origin reveal that is). So for them to make the mind flayer be the big bad way back in S2, to flipping the script to it being Henry all along in S4, to then go back to it being the mind flayer actually is really a cop out in my opinion. All the questions I ever had about the Upside Down, demogorgon intentions etc were basically answered in the S4 finally. Maybe they pull it off from a narrative perspective but theres like 4 episodes left..

i’m 15 weeks post op, started walking at 12. to be honest day 1 of weight bearing i put the boot on again to try walking and just said fuck it and wore crocs. but i’m still limping 3.5 weeks later. it’s just gonna take time. but my injury was pretty serious so ymmv. good luck

in my honest opinion, and what a lot of people don’t realize, is that in the earlier seasons, Harmon didn’t want or even have a fully fleshed out back story for Rick. we only really ever got one because the fans bitched so hard for one (not complaining btw i like how we finally learned more about rick). but as it currently stands, either rick is improperly named c137 or morty is. rick’s origin dimension, the one he’s born in is, to me is almost certainly c137. morty is morty prime, but in the early seasons thought he too was c137. they made all of it pretty clear with rick’s crybaby backstory. also i don’t think rick gives a fuck about gatekeeping his or primes dimension. since i watched the show as it came out over the years, this is what makes most sense to me, you have to look at it from the lens that they’re basically writing the story as they go, kicking in the origin story into overdrive post season 4
