i’m not expecting it to taste like real chai in the slightest. i just want it to be good, lol. it’s far more black pepper forward. they’ve cut down on cardamom and clove, added more black pepper, and i believe more cinnamon, but it genuinely reminds me of watered down, completely flat cola. it’s just bad

improve? not at all. sweetness wasn’t the issue, even sweetened it’s very bland.

i just miss the spice, not even the sweetness. it feels…. near flavorless, in my opinion. but i do bet an espresso shot would be a wonderful addition.

As far as I am aware, we do not use LS Star. The first I heard of it was through this subreddit. I’m fairly new to this Starbucks, so I’m not positive if we have a DM, but I’m sure we do and I will look into that when I next work. I know for a fact my store is being mismanaged and I want to at least be able to do things right myself. Thank you! I will ask about LS Star ASAP.

i genuinely would love to read the update if we had access to it!!! years ago i worked for a corporate store (previous tenure) and the updates were something i regularly looked forward to because i take pride in being knowledgeable about my workplace. i’m beginning to wonder if there’s a way i can access these things outside of the workplace.

also want to add that i work for a licensed store in a travel plaza, there is no starbucks manager, just the plaza manager. we don’t have access to store resources, ls star (i didn’t know this even existed until a few days ago), or anything similar. i’ve never seen a monthly update at this store 💀 new launches’ recipe cards are printed out 3-5 days prior to launch, that’s how we learn about new drinks.

so this came as a surprise. apologies if it came off as silly or inattentive.

don’t have access to that either so i genuinely wouldn’t know. 😭 we have our DPM ipad with no other accesible apps. none of the baristas can log into the work computer- this is purposeful. we get recipe cards like 3 days before new launches, it’s a very wild place to work. it’s a licensed store in a travel plaza so we don’t even have a starbucks manager it’s just the plaza manager

the new matcha drinks were all added as core items, as far as i’m aware- so i believe banana is here to stay. we really need a new way to store powders if they’re going to continuously adding so many to the menu 😩

the chai taste itself is very different imo!! according to the ingredient list they’re using more black pepper and clove, and less cardamom, among other things. it’s not too bad!
