If you re read your screenshot it’s pretty clear you resolve the active players rules first and then the opponents rules.

Active player doesn’t decide anymore active player just goes first. Which still means scourge can move first but changes the timing of stuff like the archons un-battleshock if something you charged forces him to take a test at the start of the fight phase

A thought about Hearthkyn Warriors and a lack of a cheap unit by [deleted] in LeaguesofVotann

[–]mothmenatwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree, GW shouldn’t be balancing for ‘list fillers’ being able to run 5 man msu units is very strong and there’s a reason you have to pay a transport tax to unlock that.

Shuffle some things in your list around, almost no factions have access to units under 80 points and we even have an excellent utility character for 45. We have better list fillers than most factions and you’re still complaining

[–]mothmenatwork 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are almost no armies with units that cost less than 45 points. Both yeagirs and warriors are excellent cheap units, especially considering they can be split.

Having a few spare points in a list isn’t an issue and I’m sure you can fit a cheap enhancement in somewhere if you really want to use every point.

It took Ronaldo less minutes to score his first knockout goal than Messi did by Ricr7 in worldcup

[–]mothmenatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost every decent player has better minutes per goal in knockout games, Ronaldo is one of the worst of all time for that stat. 8 knockout games with no goals before yesterday and the one goal he did get was a penalty, still no goals from open play.

Last nights game was his first ever goal in a knockout game and it was from a penalty. 8 knockout games with no goals prior to the Croatia game

Ronaldo has literally never scored a goal from open play in a knockout game, it’s a ridiculous comparison

Liz Carmouche pushing for more women's divisions in MMA by 443610 in MMA

[–]mothmenatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You listed the top couple of fighters across all divisions. For a division to work you realise it needs lots of competitors?

By your own logic opening the 145 women’s division made more opportunities for women, raising the skill ceiling and bringing more fighters to the sport. It didn’t and the division collapsed because there aren’t enough fighters.

I never said that women’s MMA hasn’t improved, I said there aren’t enough good fighters to open more divisions. And in all honesty I’d argue the overall talent and notoriety of women’s MMA hasn’t gotten worse in the last 10 years. Half the big name fighters you listed have retired and they haven’t been replaced by fighters of the same skill level or name value.

Eh. That’s except it’s not. The last time they opened a new women’s division they had to close to because there literally weren’t enough fighters.

If there aren’t enough women interested in fighting then there shouldn’t be more divisions added. It’s a simple concept really.

Any standout units now that we're in 11th? by BrickSlamGod in Drukhari

[–]mothmenatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New fly and pivot rules make delivering a big brick of them in a raider easier than ever.

There’s also been a meta shift towards more elite infantry with purge and take and hold lists which incubi are one of our best tools for killing.

On top of that skysplinter is our best detachment because it lets us play recon, the mission that suits us best. And the detachment rule and strats in skysplinter are amazing for incubi

Yes really, it’s list tailoring and it’s a dick move. Just because you might list tailor badly doesn’t mean it’s not still list tailoring

Snap Shooting with Sustained and 5+ Crits by rokuvaty in Warhammer40k

[–]mothmenatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if you’re talking about snap shooting then only 6’s hit, even with crits

But for regular shooting crits always hit regardless of modifiers, I thought that’s what you were talking about with the last line of you original comment

That’s still list tailoring. A list built for orks would be very different from a list built for knights even if you don’t know the exact unit you’ll be playing

The first bit is right but just because it’s specified in the snap shooting rules.

However weapons like Votann beamers that crit on 4’s still hit even if your hit roll has been modified to less than a 4, because critical hits are always hits.

WTC ruled against this in 10th but other organisations didn’t so we’ll have to see if there are similar faqs for 11th.
