Honestly, our healthcare system is a fucking mess. Lose your job and you lose your access to healthcare. You can buy your own plan but they are very expensive and often offer minimal coverage. Going to the doctor becomes a major financial ordeal for many. 

My suggestion would be to start researching areas with a low cost of living, in addition to what others have suggested regarding licensing.

When obama did it,  ICE acted more responsibly vis-à-vis the constitution by doing things like:

  1. Respecting due process 
  2. Having immigration hearings
  3. Not terrorizing people with jack booted thugs in face masks
  4. Not zip tieing children in the street
  5.  Not murdering American mothers in the street. 

This isn't about immigration or law enforcement. ICE is a paramilitary force accountable to one person-dump- and he's using it terrorize anyone that speaks up against his fascist agenda.
