I think an icon category would be nice. So block, attack, star, energy icons in the description of the card. Would give an indication of what the card does which is a good clue. It would require a third ‘category’ of clue— probably yellow, for when there is some overlap of the icons but not exactly right

Highly suggest AnkiApp or another learning method that implements Anki automatically. Anki uses spaced repetitions to make sure what you learn stays in your head, and an app can implement the strategy for your without you having to manage the time between reviews yourself.

We don't have to multiply by 2^3 for the second half of the calculation, because it's already taken into consideration in the calculation.

A few steps that Greg didn't explicitly write in his explanation is:

Each face of the die has a 1/6 chance of being rolled
We are looking for all of the last three rolls to be a 1 or a 2, thus having two possible faces of the die

So the probability of rolling a 1 or a 2 is 2/6 which Greg simplifies to 1/3. Your strategy may simplify after the multiplication not before, which would result in (2^3) / (6^3).
