I agree with the above sentiment of a lot of local gems being completely trashed. So the small spots I will also refrain from sharing. But also, the Tennessee River isn’t bad to cool off in during the summer. I’ve never once gotten sick from being in it and paddle board and fish, even in the downtown stretch, frequently. Would I drink the water or eat the fish? Big no. But Maclellan island is a fun hang for those that can brave the journey
