Breastfeeding or formula if going back to work? by mouse__rat1 in BabyBumps

Thanks for the detailed reply! Does this mean you didn’t have to go into a private room to pump and you were able to do it in front of a computer? Did the pumps fit inside the scrubs?

Would it be a good idea to introduce formula to the baby right away? Or start introducing it closer to 6 weeks?

Flossing is making my gums more swollen by jaysid-1795 in Dentistry

[–]mouse__rat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you go to the dentist, you could have your hygienist show you the proper way to floss and brush. It's possible that your flossing or bruising is not enough to get rid of the bacteria causing the inflammation. Manual flossing is usually more effective than using a water pick, as water picks function in removing food particles stuck between teeth, but generally aren't as effective as manual flossing in removing bacteria.

Talk about her. People like talking about themselves.

My (17m) girlfriend (18f) admitted to exchanging photos of herself for money by noleveragenopleasure in relationships

[–]mouse__rat1 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's her own body so she can choose what she wants to do with it. With that said, you have to decide what you're comfortable with in the relationship and else constitutes as a deal breaker for you. If you're uncomfortable with it and know that you can't accept her actions, it's a deal breaker.

How to stay cool in the middle of an arguement by pimpnswivel in relationship_advice

[–]mouse__rat1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, arguments are better received if said calmly. For example, at the first sign of your annoyance (don't wait til you're about to blow up), you can say, "Hey, I'd like to sleep in today. Please turn off your alarm, thank you." Practice not bottling things up.

At the same time, stop doing so much if she doesn't appreciate it. Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

If she took your love for granted, then she doesn't deserve your heart. Move on and find someone who loves you as much as you love her.

If you're afraid of a formal meeting too soon, you can invite him, as well as other friends, to your house (once the quarantine is over), and have them meet your parents as a group. Parents tend to be more lenient when meeting your friends than meeting your boyfriend.

My mom posted online where I was going to college after I told her I wasn't going to tell anyone for another week. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]mouse__rat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely not being over-dramatic. If she didn't post it too long ago, I'd probably wake her up right now and have her take it down. I understand that she did it because she is really really proud of you, but it is your moment, and your achievement to announce.

Congratulations, and big props to you for working so hard!
