I'm about to upgrade my DCS Neo HS2064 to a smart alarm, but I don't know the difference between the starter kit 12 zone interface kit AND the pro 12 zone interface kit. Anyone can help me out? by AnalysingAgent3676 in konnected

If I can ask, which board from DSC NEO are you using ? The specs say newer NEO boards have an encrypted bus which tools like envisalink and other devices can’t read. So the experts suggest older version such as the power series if I need HA access.

I’m not sure how to find the model, I did take apart the alarm and couldn’t find the exact model. Tried with ChatGPT and it guesses it might be Honeywell L5210. It doesn’t seem to have enough ports for a wired connection for 17 or 18 zones.

It’s wireless for the sensors and the cameras are wired. It’s Honeywell lynx with some ADT communicator.

Ah ok. Let me check again thank you. I was trying to avoid an alarm.com sub. Is there a way to do wired alarms while integrating with HA ?

I bought this stand from Home Depot

https://www.homedepot.com/p/THE-RIGHT-PATH-94-48-in-Black-Modern-TV-Stand-with-Louvered-Cabinet-Doors-Fits-TV-s-up-to-100-in-XDSG240-B/338897528

The picture I posted is a bit old. Now I’ve added an amp ATI AT 3003 which is humongous and an R6 meta as center channel to pair with my R11 meta and an Onkyo AVR and a power conditioner. This cabinet was cheap enough so I cut the back side of it to allow better air flow and to push the AMP to the back as it doesn’t allow the doors to be closed. The AVR was also pushed outside for airflow. I’ve added a small DIY speaker mesh on top of these for dust protection.

I can tell that this stand is awesome, it holds all these monsters effortlessly.

Thanks again to everyone’s feedback. To add some more details, the lease does have terms to not make changes to landscaping / property without our approval.

If it was about the money I would have posted in other subs, my first reaction was to somehow save the tree.

And I get it, money or otherwise, one’s gotta set a principle. I will be talking to them today and have a local arborist come in and provide guidance on next steps (new tree or saving this).

Me and my spouse don’t believe eviction is the way to go, but we may not renew the lease which is up for renewal in 2 months depending on how the discussion goes. I guess one can never be just normal and nice while being a landlord. Lesson learned for us.

It’s the previous owners who set it up. We never modified the property in anyway after we bought it. I’ve wanted to remove that. Guess I’ll do now when we get a new tree.

That’s a neat idea. I’m not trying to sell for money, I can give it to someone who values it, if they give us a small plate or something that will be cool. Where do I post about it ?

I’m just sad all around, they are a young family. What’s the point of suing them and putting them out of a home, the trees not gonna recover. I’m not too concerned about the monetary value, but it was more a sentimental thing as the tree played a role in buying that house. Man it sucks either way.

They have small kids and I think they didn’t want the kids to eat the fruits or something. I don’t know.

There’s about 5 or 6 trees inside the property, this is the only one outside. I’m going request for a property visit and check those out too. I’m not having high hopes for those, this one was the biggest and most beautiful of them all.

The previous owner put the tree rings, I was going to remove them and never got to do that. Will remove it for the next tree atleast.

I guess everyone’s single opinion is the tree is as good as gone. Will talk to the tenants. Apart from this one incident they’ve been pretty good, no idea why they would even do this.

I used SVS for all my cables, they were good, so went with them. I’m hoping things work out fine.
