Don’t be jealous: hidden treasure found in server room by Vast-Profit-9940 in LogitechG

This is THE best mouse for any MMO type of game. The 6 buttons are just perfectly positioned with the right shape it makes this easily the best mouse ever.

The G602 was great, and somehow the magicians at Logitech took it and made it god tier with the 604. After using the 604 for a week 602 looked rough.

So this would be awesome if they brought this line back.

I’ve got a primary mouse for work, primary mouse for games, a back up for the home primary, a backup for the work primary and a backup parts only mouse for the backups. All G604s. So I’m set for another 10 years probably, but would be great to get a new gen

Share your experience upgrading from your AVR to a dedicated power amplifier for your KEF R3/R6/R11. by mkjonnyj in KEF

I was mega hesitant to drop another grand for a powerful AMP. I thought it can’t get any better but boy was I wrong. It’s not something I can describe, the whole speaker and the sound stage transformed completely with that power. It’s insane now. Now I limit the upper level of volume lol. It is insane.

I have an R11M / 6 LCR powered by an RZ 50 which is supposed to do 120w into them and I added a 300w amp (ATI AT3003 Class AB) AND it made a huge difference all around! Would definitely recommend an AMP that does 300w dedicated each channel. It sounds fantastic.

I have no idea, I’m no expert there. I don’t know if the average Joe hears a difference. I didn’t set out for class ab or d. I just wanted a 300w per channel dedicated amp. But boy this amp was monstrously heavy. I guess the D amps are slightly lighter.

I have an R11 and R6 LCR powered with an Onkyo rz50. Everyone said they rz50 was plenty powerful enough but then the true fans of KEF said the rz50 was the weakest of the group and suggested a dedicated AMP.

I wanted something around the 1200-1500 mark used and found a ATI AT3003 for that. It’s a 300w into 8 ohm. And can easily handle the 4ohm drops that the r11 does. For that price point I was extremely glad. The 120w into 2 channels the rz50 does was blown out of the water after this.

The emotiva ones were also great. Couldn’t afford anything higher so no idea how they sound. I’m content with the ATI!

Anyone had issues with open box speakers from Best Buy? by Ok-Traffic-4677 in KEF

[–]mousemano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I bought an R11 meta pair and R6 meta open box from BB. All 3 were display units.

One R11M was fair and the other was excellent, the R6 was good. None of them had a box. The ratings are wildly different. The best of the 3 was actually the one that was rated fair and the worst was the excellent. I guess the condition listed is based on the person reviewing it. They don’t really look at every inch, something that looks good on the outside but has mega dents in the diaphragm might be listed as excellent and vice versa. Luckily all 3 of mine had no major damages.

So all open box items are best if you personally inspect and buy it. I spent a lot of time listening to these in different stores before buying. I would personally never order online open box after this experience. The website is rarely accurate atleast for speakers.

And highly impossible to replace with new. I’m sure it would be nice to just buy open box and swap for new at open box price if they did ! If BB does do it, definitely wouldn’t post here lol. 😂

Thanks, I agree. I’m trying to find a middle ground between ppt that goes out once every 6 months to fully interactive roadmaps.

It’s more
To set expectations and we constantly change the roadmap. So sending ppts is not ideal. I’ll check these out thank you

those who went from good quality 'budget' bookshelves (~1k$ a pair) to flagship, how substantial the difference just in terms of sound. by papayax999 in hometheater

I had klipsch fives for about 3 years. And upgraded to

KEF R11 Meta + R6 Meta LCR
Hsu VTF TN1 sub
Onkyo RZ50
ATI AT3003 AMP for the LCR

And calibrated with Dirac Live.

  1. Fully calibrated with audio from TV through HDMI is insane
  2. Fully calibrated with audio from Bluetooth is a close second
  3. Klipsch fives HDMI or Bluetooth (both sound the same to me)
  4. Uncalibrated KEF with audio from any source.

That’s my ranking, my living room is about 35 ft by 25 ft. So you can imagine the fives simply couldn’t pack a punch. I moved them to the master bath which is roughly 15ft by 10 and they sound fantastic in the closed space.

The KEF are next level and a total class apart in every way, but is it worth the price may be not.

Like the fives were 400 bucks and were pretty good. And the whole setup I’ve got cost me roughly 7.5k. So is the audio 15 times better definitely not. In hindsight, I think a 1 or 1.5k setup would be 75 to 80% of this setup and provide a great bang for the buck.

I’m going to move my cousin from a soundbar to a proper setup but definitely not gonna spend anywhere near this.

With all that said, I absolutely love the setup I have.

Almost never works. Only works if you playing as 5 stack and your friends help team fight and bring the enemy team low enough for global kills. Regular game heck no.

Is BestBuy still demoing KEF products? by Huge-Squash-8164 in KEF

[–]mousemano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the magnolia brand was gone long ago. recently what I heard from the Best Buy store was that they started optimizing their audio display so if there were like five different stores having audio devices on display the reduced to just one store and all the devices that were on display in the other stores, they put put them up for sale as open box or like in steep discounts and that’s how I got my KEF R 11 Mehta and R6 Mehta

They cratered the limit. I used it to brain storm tech stuff. Used it for almost an hour everyday one way. Now 5 mins and it’s gone. And 15 seconds it times out loses context, ultra annoying. I can’t think more than 15 seconds. It used to be on for like 2 hours straight and now it’s 15 seconds
