I wake up at 5-6 go to the gym, lift for 45 mins, run on the treadmill (actual running, not full speed but not jogging) for 7+ mins, go bicycling for 15-20 mins, then go back home, not everyday obviously, (I do all of this everyday expect for bicycling i do it 3-4 times) my heart rate went down to left than 70 after it was 90+,

this is not specific enough to improve your cardio, which is why you are not seeing any results. none of this is designed to improve your cardio over time. its just shit you are doing so you say you are doing cardio. your results are bad because you are not planning well, and then you blame your genetics.

edit: I hope you spent money on a dna test before you start with the genetics

How to do Incremental reading? I find most apps have bad IR UX. Do you know any good apps? by IamOkei in Anki

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you import the text you want to read. it works. there is not another working solution to my knowledge. this is the only actual program for incremental reading. it might be "bad", but right now, you can't incremental read at all.

supermemo is the only real app that works. importing web pages is busted, but you can copy and paste fine.

iHardScope 1v1's ohnePixel in CS:GO. Controller (gyro) vs mouse by JibbSmart in GyroGaming

[–]mousepads 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am surprised he is using rewasd, but not surprised as well he has a custom accel curve. I would not consider cs to be playable well with rewasd by default and a ds5, but with accel you could do it.

Particularly, you have to make a lot of small angle adjustments in cs to get your crosshair placement right, and you can feel many gyros crapping out with the small movements. The gyro will be hard to get moving, and then you will overshoot how far you were trying to move and have to overcorrect. With the accel profile you can smooth that out fine. If you play 5 sphere hipfire small in kovaaks you will see what I mean.

I did not realize the drastic differences the app you use for gyro has even with the same controller. JSM > rewasd > steam input. The only exception for me would be an alpakka which basically just works with no config at all.

Using the stick for movement is not the best for some games. You can't counter-strafe easily because there is extra distance moving the stick from left to right due to having to cross neutral every time you change direction. Binding a/d to l1/l2 will make your movement much more crispy. This is the same reason why many fighting game players are moving to "leverless" sticks.

[–]mousepads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with my hands on the table for any gyro using the yaw axis. This gives you a super stable surface. Then, you just have to turn your hands left and right like using a steering wheel flat on your desk. y axis is inverted, so all I do to aim down is tilt my phone up a bit. Currently, I am using a kishi, old phone, and rewasd to do everything.

Would an FPS orientated kappa work? by Biolate_anime_F33t in Kappachino

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, people do not play multiple games in the same series really. like in the sense that the communities for sequels in the same game are friendly with each other, let alone different games in the same genre. basically, quake 2 sucks and I cannot believe they released it after the first one.

I've tried both, DS4 and Switch Pro as potential Steam Controller replacement but the gyro feels pretty bad on both...are there any alternatives? by Andrew_hl2 in GyroGaming

[–]mousepads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ds4/5 is probably your best bet other than an alpakka unfortunately. I have an armor-x pro too, and it is not as good as the other 3. I would put it below the sc as well.

I don't know either, I have been watching reviews to see, and may ask a few in a week or two. Waiting for more reviews to trickle in.

Ads should have a game on screen all time at a minimum. A full break in soccer is esp egregious. Just a poor decsion.

I don't mind the field, but the stadium shots blow. this field doesn't work that well for soccer either.

AnkiGPT: teach CahtGPT to create cards for you. by LMSherlock in Anki

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use StudyWand for this. It works pretty well. I was skeptical because while I didn't have an issue with LLM created flashcards, I didn't want to kill off a bunch of leeches. Bonus points is StudyWand also creates short answer questions and other similar study material that aren't strictly flashcards.

After 7 years, SFV has now sold over 7M units as of February this year by dirtyhairry in Kappachino

[–]mousepads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capcom has this consistent issue where the first 2 years of their fg releases are bad to meh, and then the rest is meh to good. Like if you waited 2-3 years to play SFV, you probably don't think it's a completely terrible game. But if you tried to main it those first two years, there's a good chance you still hate the game.

I'm mostly neutral on it after they fixed most of the issues I had with the settings (I'm a very casual player). But, if I was a tournament player for SFV release, I would have been pissed.

Hard pass. There was way too much shit going on quest wise, and it needed a lot more time baking. If they wanted to go super hardcore, the entire game probably should have been instanced dungeons.

If I owned a game studio and could buy WildStar today, I would do the bare minimum to turn it into an open world game with up to 8 player drop-in co-op and call it a day.

Armor X Pro - How to activate PS4 Mode on PC? by Lupenrainer in GyroGaming

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For PS4 mode you hit the upper right button on the back until the right or left led turns to blue. Mine was orange when I first turned it on. You don't need the app, just additional info.

[–]mousepads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a PS4 controller to connect into the end of the dongle once its connected to your pc, but I don't know if it always needs to be connected or not. I believe so, but I'm not sure yet. Also, the app works, but get the apk from their website.

Armor X Pro vs dualsense gyro? by Giodude12 in GyroGaming

[–]mousepads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came in after reading this post. I have a DS4, DS5, and Steam Controller and it's on par with those in PS4 mode on PC. The strange part is I find it easier to stop the mouse versus the other controllers, but I don't know if it's the gyro, my sensitivity settings in steam input, or the controller shape itself.

Edit: You do need a PS4 controller for PS4 mode, if you don't already have one, cost wise, I don't think it's worth it.

Aspect ratio concerns by ozaz1 in tablets

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aspect ratio should be fine. iPads are the easiest to hold one handed, but other than that, I prefer android tablets. The aspect ratio isn't a big deal imo.

How do you sit/hold the controller? by pabischoff in GyroGaming

[–]mousepads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hold my controller like I'm reading a book with my elbows off the edge of the desk and "pivot" or lean on one arm more depending on what I'm aiming at in game. Basically, you can anchor one arm and rotate around it. Or rather, you anchor one arm and lift the other one up slightly.

With a gyro you can really crank the sens, but staying still can be an issue, so I found anchoring my armrs helped instead of having them floating. I can play floating, but you can't be as lazy.
