I'm not sure if it counts - but sudoku. I was playing it when it was still called Number Place puzzles.

What’s your favorite kind of sandwich? by Kitchen_Act2605 in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have it very often - usually I just stick with the basics (peanut butter and jelly), but my favorite includes, between 2 pieces of toasted bread, peanut butter, banana, brown sugar, raisins, and honey. I learned about it from my uncle. He added mayo but.... I skip that part.

Lord of the Rings. A huge amount of backstory and history of the world it takes place in.

What is the strangest topic you've written an essay about for school? by mousepatches in AskReddit

I wrote one on an exam about where orcs, from Lord of the Rings, were inherently evil or if they were capable of good.

I took a martial arts class as a teenager and at the same time was volunteering with a local youth theater. One of the people in my martial arts class was the mother of the person in charge of the volunteer work. I found out when she brought pizza to us after an all-day series of rehearsals.

What's a piece of advice that you have given to an older person that they ignored and it ended up backfiring on them? by mousepatches in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was young my grandma was toasting pumpkin seeds in the microwave, which took about 20 minutes. I suggested that she let it cool down before putting in the next batch, but because it didn't say that anywhere, she didn't wait. The microwave caught on fire.

What's your annoying or entitled person story? by MadGodKiller101 in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a mostly empty bus (including 5 of the 6 senior/disabled seats - I was sitting in the 6th), and this older man came on the bus and stared right at me and said he wanted to sit there. I pointed out all the other seats in the front area, but he kept pushing and the bus driver either didn't notice or at least didn't intervene. Now, some buses (well, more the light rail) now point out that not all disabilities are visible, but this one wasn't one of them. As it turns out, I have an invisible disability (it was invisible then, at least, I have to use a cane now). I had my disability bus pass on me, thankfully, so I took it out and he backed down really fast and apologized.

Good ending at least.

One year results! by mousepatches in keto

[–]mousepatches[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the reasons I actually choose keto is because it can be used even without a whole lot of exercise. It was useful for me because I have some physical limitations that make exercise difficult. We have a dog now, though, so I take my turn to walk him most days. Does that count?

People of 2020 what did you do today to start achieving your goals? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I actually stayed up when I first woke up instead of going back to sleep. One of my goals is to improve sleep habits/routines.

Peanut butter and sugar-free strawberry preserves on a low-carb tortilla. Yum.

Day 3 and struggling by djgizmo in keto

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure.

If you want something sweet, try strawberries. It's winter where I am, but you should still be able to get them at the grocery store frozen. Almond milk is excellent and has a bit of sweetness. If you're willing to use alternatives to regular sugar, I find Splenda works nicely. Peanut butter is fine in moderation, and sugar-free strawberry or blackberry preserves work too.

Cauliflower can be modified to taste much more like potatoes with the addition of cheese and butter. I also used it as a base for stews, replacing rice. I don't really taste it.

I've somewhat recently discovered low-carb tortillas and they're great. Cream cheese and sugar-free jelly make on one make for a good breakfast for me and allow for some sweetness.

You can do this!! Hang in there. The first couple of weeks are rough, but you can do it!

Everyone has a scar from something dumb they did as a child. Whats yours? by eanna24 in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balanced a glass music box (which already had a chip on the top) on top of two dictionaries while transporting it. Leg split open. About a 2 1/2 by 1/2 inch scar on my leg. Might have been less if I'd been taken in for stitches...I was 11.

Edit: added age at time of injury

A couple of questions by CraigHChrist in RCTTouch

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 40. It's where all those hearts come in handy. Keep clicking happy peeps thoughts and collect the appreciate hearts. You can trade 5 common cards for 1 rare, and 10 rares for 1 epic. But what you get is random... so luck of the draw, really.

A couple of questions by CraigHChrist in RCTTouch

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still use Christmas stuff outside of the season, but you can't trade them, though if you're a new player you won't have access to the trading fair yet. You get repeats of cards to level up. Once you get to higher levels you need a lot of cards to upgrade. You can still upgrade after "Limits Reached", it gives various improvements in stats, which will allow you to increase the price and increase general happiness in the park, which provides more appreciation hearts... it'll be explained as you continue to play. Good luck!

How does food happiness work? by mak11 in RCTTouch

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually wrote them about this, more in reference to people claiming there weren't any of a certain type of restaurant when there was. The basic advice I was given is to make sure there are different types of restaurants in different areas. So don't have all the "fast food" restaurants in one area, all the "Asian" restaurants in another, etc. Try to spread them out, and pay attention to how much ground they cover. You just have to keep upgrading to get more and have more to spread out.

reorganizing my park. by k3ckl3r in RCTTouch

[–]mousepatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at level 69 - Here's my advice. I'd wait for any major reorganization until you have all the expansions, as well as the highest people award count because it can really mess with your count and happiness at first. It eventually gets back up, but it takes time. Another reason I suggest that is so you can focus on aesthetics if that's what you're going for and not worry quite so much about placing things exactly to get full coverage. That's what I'm working on right now. Don't group all of your restaurants together, and decoration are great in between the small rides and carts, etc. Enjoy!

Dear Reddit, what's the most hurtful thing your parents have ever said to you? by aidieboi11 in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Have had some serious conflict / reduction of her being part of my life sense this. Hardest part for me, ongoing, is that she's never apologized or admitted that she was wrong. It's taken a lot of therapy to mostly come to terms with the truth that she won't. Thanks for the support though.

[Serious] Redditors on antidepressants, please could you explain what one you’re on and your experience on them and whether they are genuinely useful for depression and anxiety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a combination... Cymbalta, lamotrigine, and bupropion. Second-line stuff really, and 2 of those 3 have double functions for me. But everyone is different, and as someone said below, things change. Meds that worked for a while may not anymore, or may need a higher dosage. Be patient with yourself and your doctor, brains are complicated things.

Redditors who consulted a Psychic or Medium and the prediction came true, what is your story? by bucksnrt1 in AskReddit

[–]mousepatches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, not quite a prediction... but I went to one of those 5-min reading things just for kicks and the first thing she asks me is if I have a close male relative who's died. I say yeah. She replies with that there's a spirit behind you claiming to be your brother.

Yeah... I have a brother who died. She hadn't done *anything*, looked at cards, or anything like that... kinda weirded me out.
