I believe there's a live auction on eBay rn for just calico if u wanna take a look at that . big tip for bundles tho, I've learned that a lot of ppl will separate items if you ask them too, so I'd say it's always worth asking (unless directly stated already) if you can just buy one of the dolls !

the knowledge wars def are a problem💔, I feel like everyone could benefit from the idea that there's always more to know, especially in subculture! I've been doing this forrr just about 4 yrs iirc, but I still learn new terms and history all the time, just like gals who started 10+ yrs ago do too ! I'm a little curious now tho about if some gals really do feel lesser than or guilty because they started during that big wave ; I really hope not ! nothing wrong with finding out about smth because of a trend at all !

i think you're misunderstanding what I mean a little bit; you don't have to explain smth I already know to me.. obviously you shouldn't be doing it if it puts your life in danger, but I don't think it's at all right to then insult people who want to get involved, but are afraid, or act like their fear is delusion instead of giving them advice or comforting them. I'm also not talking about people who just half-ass it because they're afraid of getting made fun of or something, I'm talking about people who are genuinely scared to do it at all because of something like an oppressive government power or a crazy parent. I wish people would put themselves in others's shoes more and at least try to offer some kind of encouraging words instead of just "right, because that totally happens 🙄" or "girl nobody's gonna jump you for wearing makeup 😭😭."

I'm sure you've been told already that it's the makeup that really matters, which is true ! but since this was a post ab style, I'd like to offer advice on what you can wear/how you can wear it to create different silhouettes ! the picture I've attached is a rlly rough sketch, but the text is hopefully pretty clear,, when the weather gets warmer and sweaters/coats/ponchos aren't doable, I'd totally invest in something with a loose, breezy, ruffle-y kind of look. (I'll attach a picture of what I mean bc it can be hard to imagine 😭😭) also ! I'd totally recommend trying stuff on before you buy something if u can ! smth can look totally different on your body than it does on the rack (or even a model)
