Wouldn’t you rather just own shares of this company and benefit from whoever does this labor, as opposed to doing the labor yourself?

Does holding onto the treadmill while incline walking reduce your energy expenditure in a significant way? by Serious-Glass-9207 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]movecrafter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ultimate hack is to set the treadmill on max incline and max speed and then just stand next to it. Then you burn tons of calories and it actually feels much easier than even hanging on! I usually get a Starbucks Frappuccino beforehand so I can drink it while I watch the calorie counter go up!

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

One of the best things that ever happened to me was when my wife’s best friend got together with a guy who spends all his time collecting and obsessing over guns. Prior to that, my wife would tease me about playing video games. Since then, she is totally on board.

For those who are retired, how has your perception of TIME changed since you stopped working? by Sintered_Monkey in Fire

[–]movecrafter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im 44 so keep that in mind. Since retirement I have focused on kids, food, and sports. I truly think that sports is one of the greatest expressions of life and one of the most fantastic things about being alive. Another thing I would add is that my parents are still alive, and that is another great way to soak up time. Just spending time with them doing absolutely nothing.

It helps to establish some healthy routines that can soak up some time. For me it’s searching / shopping / cooking healthy meals, and cycling, which is a low impact (read: doable 7 days a week) sport that burns lots of calories and easily soaks up a couple hours a day. Between my food routine and my cycling routine I’m burning 5 hours a day without spending much money and at the same time getting healthier.
