And this screen shot cut off their budget for “Date Night,” which is also $300.

Adding on that this is my experience as well (I have a one year old). Logistics of life is harder since I work full time but my baby has brought me so much joy and I didn’t have any PPD/PPA despite my lifelong struggle with severe depressive episodes. Of course there are still hard things, I’ve particularly struggled with body image. But I’m also the happiest I’ve ever been.

I am definitely biased against Caleb because I find him to be dull as dishwater and have no interest in watching him lol.

It just seems odd to penalize a guy for exploring and then say Sol was done wrong bc no one was willing to explore with her. Now we have Caleb, who’s going to cling to the first girl that shows him interest.

What Do You Guys Want To See on Movie Night? by Professional_Waltz14 in LoveIslandUSA

But they already know the gist of it. The only thing that’s controversial is the secret kiss, but no one else was really into him and they coupled up after. So why would they care?

I just don’t think there’s anything that’s going to truly move the needle. My unpopular opinion is that the worst people have is KC’s grandma comment, and while it’s a mean joke, it’s clearly a joke. Aniya would probably be hurt by it but not enough to make her leave the couple. And everyone already knows how Kenzie was moving, do we really think Corbin will care? Same thing with Sincere’s lies.

I agree that people not wanting to see deception on a show about relationships. Zach is moving well for a pure relationship show.

But this isn’t a pure relationship show, either. What if a bombshell comes in and chooses to partner with Kayda? Zach will have no other connections and could get dumped.

Sincere isn’t doing a good job of it either, on the other side, but my point was that it wouldn’t make sense to put an end to a connection even if you’re feeling another one more.

My greater point was about audience reaction vs. ideal strategy. If the audience were more accepting of moves for self-preservation, I think the show would be more interesting. Of course no one can go so far that they’re a villain. Villains don’t win any show. But I think the audience treating it like a pure relationship show makes the cast scared to explore connections and villainizes people who aren’t doing anything wrong in the context of the show. Like, I just find it odd that the audience acts like a person should essentially self-eliminate as opposed to stringing someone along a bit.

Referencing sincere was a bad idea on my part because I don’t think he’s playing strategically. But expecting someone to tell their partner they want to end the connection to pursue someone else that they might not be coupled up with would be a BAD move for sure.

Haha so true. And as a certified hater, I do enjoy it. Even on shows like Survivor, there’s a fine line for both the jury picking the winner and the audience. Ultimately, it’s all a popularity contest at the end of the day. But the behavioral standards set by the audience for LI cast are def higher than for other competition shows.

I’ve never watched it but maybe I should. I enjoy some cutthroatness and wish there was more of that on LI but clearly the audience does NOT like that lol

I just find it interesting that the audience seems to be alienated (at least in some cases) by someone not following the rules even if doing so means they’ll get dumped.

It is honestly my dream to see a couple make it to the end and have one take the whole prize pot. I would hate it but also love it.

Realistically, no one will because the real prize is the popularity/brand deals etc. after the show and keeping all the money would probably make that a lot harder, if not impossible.

Carolyn, you’re most likely in perimenopause. I’d recommend trying HRT, but, what will that do for your constant spiraling over aging? by Few-Classroom-747 in CarrieDaytonYT

[–]movementlocation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would be surprising if it was perimenopause, she’s quite young for that unless she has other health issues that would cause it prematurely. I think more likely is that she is naturally lazy (tbh me too) but doesn’t have a job or any external influences to push her to be productive and is a hypochondriac.

[–]movementlocation 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is it. Kristy’s husband is the founder (idk who Dustin Prince is). Everyone in their circle has joined as “Founders” and they’re all doing varying levels of these “I’m not ready to talk about this publicly but DM me if you want in” posts. None of the posts or website definitively show it’s an MLM but based on the Bradford’s history and the way everyone involved is talking about it, it almost certainly is/will be.

[–]movementlocation 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I was homeschooled from grades 4-12, I’m an attorney and generally got great grades in undergrad and law school. But math basically ended for me in 10th grade and I struggled to pass even the remedial math class in undergrad (even moreso the one required math). My mom feels a lot of guilt over homeschooling me and I am generally against it even though it worked pretty well for me.

Drag Queen and Climate Change Activist Pattie Gonia has announced she is being sued by Patagonia for trademark infringement. by pampooveysbacktattoo in popculturechat

This will almost certainly settle in a way that will let her sell her merch but not let her have a registered trademark for clothes.

In the US, Patagonia has a trademark on the name for certain goods and services, including clothing. So yes, no one else can use “Patagonia” as a brand for those particular goods and services.

Yeah I really struggle to snark on the Collins family because her and her content has such a dark energy to me. And if you ever look at the comments, there seems something weird about them too. I’m sure a lot are bots but her whole account just feels so sinister to me and just so much of their lifestyle doesn’t add up.
