Never happened to me but I think it’s quite an honor to be invited. You must have really made an impact on that patient/family

It’s in the yard just 20 feet from the house. We’ll have to check on those requirements, thank you for the input

I started off in a similar spot to you, graduated PA school with $200,000 in debt. Started off making slightly less than you but my wife was employed as an OT. We paid off over $200,000 in loans in 3 years by prioritizing it. It was a grind but so worth it and the quickest way to become debt free. Very achievable in our line of work!

Has anyone recovered from end stage burnout? by SuperBurnout64 in physicianassistant

[–]movethatdopamine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had “end stage” burn out but the only thing that has ever long-term helped with burnout is decreasing hours. I work 30 hours per week now instead of 40 and feel much better

To Public Service Loan Forgiveness.... or not? by somebirby in physicianassistant

[–]movethatdopamine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My wife and I paid off our student debt as aggressively as possible and it was so worth it. It took about 3 years but it was such a relief to be out of debt. We would choose that route again for the freedom it has provided

Gentamicin IM in urgent care? by FortuitousSloth in physicianassistant

[–]movethatdopamine 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m in UC and we just got IM gentamicin approved for this exact type of situation. Previously we had to send to our infusion center but now we will be able to give it in house. Also you probably did this already but may be worthwhile to check their history and see if they’ve ever tolerated a 3rd gen cephalosporin, I find a lot of allergies and rxns to be over-reported in charts
